I wanted to address a matter that has been on my mind regarding the BCCI's decision to continue playing matches against Pakistan. As you know, India is a 4 trillion dollar economy, and the potential revenue lost by completely boycotting games against Pakistan would be relatively insignificant for India—just a few hundred million a year, which is peanuts in the grand scheme of things.
Given the narrative that Pakistan has been promoting terrorism in the region and has been responsible for the deaths of Indian soldiers and innocent civilians, I am left wondering why the BCCI did not take the initiative to boycott these matches. Has the BCCI let down India by continuing to engage in these games?
Whatever the outcome of this decision, I find it quite shameful. I believe that a stronger stance should have been taken, considering the gravity of the situation.
