I saw them talking about Kohli but not much about Rohit and Dhawan. Both Rohit and Dhawan the highest scorers of the tournament, Rohit 258 runs at 129 avg and Dhawan 327 runs at 81.75 avg.

Them getting out cheaply in CT finals doesn't mean it will happen every single time. Didn't Pak bowlers have any game plan against Rohit and Dhawan?

I Am sure they wanted to get them out. What do you mean?

When you give Rohit Sharma two chances...... he will punish you. He did what we deserved.

fans maybe. Players, I don’t think so. What matters is whether they have the mental resolve to pick themselves up after these heavy defeats

If you can't get someone out, what is the next best thing you can do? How about bowling to your field, with a strategy to keeping the runs down to a minimum? Isn't that what Dhoni as captain used to do?

Pakistan simply needs to adopt to the modern game on all fronts. What worked in the 90's will not work today.

It's not about underestimation. Pakistani bowlers are simply not good enough. I was laughing at the way these Aamirs, Shaheens and Hasans staring at Dhawan like some Mcgraths after getting hit for boundaries. It was like school kids giving a frustrated stare at the teacher after getting punished. They simply don't have the finesse and intelligence to get any Top side out cheaply (barring that once in a millennium event CT final).

I believe I agree with what the OP is saying. It feels as though we did not plan for the openers and we went in thinking it would be a walk in the park without Kohli in the team. I hope that is not the case but it sure feels that way.

Dhawan's obvious weakness is against off-spin yet, we did not have a single off-spinner in our squad knowing full well we would play India thrice in the tournament. Rohit on the other hand is known to dabble outside of off stump a good line where the ball was consistently challenging him to go outside the off stump may have resulted in him edging one or two. It really felt as though we went in without a plan for these two.
