Did the lack of (proper) left-handed batsmen cost us the second Test?

Amir was batting with ease while same side for right-handed players was a time-bomb. What if we had a leftie (Fawad Alam) in this order? I say we could have chased it down with ease then.

You had a point until you suggested Fawad Alam.

If a batsmen averaging 50 in domestics cant be selected because his technique is faulty for international cricket, you have to wonder how much chance a 35 averaging batsmen would have in international arena ?

Or perhaps he will succeed even though he fails in Pakistani domestics.

And if that is what is possible then what is the point of holding domestic competitions?

To develop genuine talent and filter domestic bullies like Fawad.

Yes we can do with a couple of lefties. Pakistan is the only team that packs there side with right handers.

Just imagine, God forbid, if it was you instead of Fawad, then you would have felt the pain. So, stop being so harsh. To hell with technique, we need mentally solid players, and Fawad is one of them.

If problem is with his style of batting or technique then why he was given chance earlier.

if fawad alam is not ok then sami aslam and shan masood will be tried once again.

The problem is more to the top 6 being sitting ducks with terrible technique on a challenging pitch.

And for talent we need your approval.. remember talent is always subjective. I believe we should reward domestic performance.

We saw how mental toughness is important in the short innings played by sarfi. And fawad is tough and mentally strong.

Talent only leads you nowhere #uakmal

The last solid left handed batsman who were good is Asim kamal and fawad Alam , but Pakistan sadly ignored them.
