What's new

Do results like these establish our dominance in the format or simply show WI's lack of interest?

Did you see me claiming that we'll beat wi and nz no matter what? We have a better win/loss record in both overall and head to head stats, so I can claim India is a better t20 side than Pakistan.

By your logic, I can claim that Pakistan is a better side than India right now due to better overall W/L ratio. Pathetic logic.

Yes I get it. You will only agree with stats when it suits you. I was just pointing the fallacy of your logic that current comparison can be made by bringing out W/L ratio over a period of ten years. Now try to wiggle out of this one.

Nice try but the only fallacy here is you trying to conflate different formats after being exposed on your claim, try harder

Yes, the logic you stated is a pathetic logic, but that's not my logic, odis and tests have a long history, there are a lot of other factor to consider in those formats, t20 is barely a decade old, and we can clearly claim that India has been and is a better t20 side than pakistan

You really believe that w/l ratios over a period of 10 years is a better gauge as opposed to past 2 or 3 years to compare the quality of current teams ? If yes, then I have nothing more to add here.

Here's the data for last 3 years, Still India is the best, you take out the 2 wins you scored against windies D side and your win/loss is 1.6 compared to India's 1.75. Game, Set and Match:shh

Now you are starting to take out matches according to your own wishes:facepalm: and bringing in away records. That is enough. I am done.

Of course you are done, because you have been left speechless by facts. If you think winning 2 matches against windies D team make pakistan a better t20 team than India then you are most welcome to believe that but your view is not supported by facts

I did not get to watch the matches because I was traveling, but from a cricketing perspective, this series was a complete waste of time and totally insignificant.

It was a lamb to slaughter type situation for the West Indies. They had to hastily string together a squad of enough players to play three matches in three days with no preparation and context.

The only good that has come out of this series - apart from having international matches in Karachi - was the fact that the likes of Talat, Shaheen and Asif got a first taste of international cricket in the most comfortable scenario possible.

Yeah but no one will remember that. All they will remember is that West Indies have successfully toured Karachi for 3 T20Is.

Thus paving the way for more cricket in Pakistan, inshallah.

We can except more cricket in Pakistan atleast.

We have reached a saturation point now. Hosting teams like the West Indies, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka and some minnows etc. will not convince the big teams to come.

Najam Sethi needs to somehow convince South Africa to consider the option of playing a couple of T20Is and an ODI in Pakistan. 4-5 contemporary, big name South African cricketers have played in Pakistan. Convincing these players to play in Pakistan should not be a problem, and if they can tag along a few other players, it will be a massive step in the right direction.

I do not expect the likes of de Villiers, de Kock, Rabada etc. to tour, but no matter who comes, it will create a stir and might encourage someone like New Zealand to play a few games as well.

As far as the PSL is concerned, the plan of hosting half of the matches in Pakistan needs to become a reality within two years.
