100%

He had an amazing run! Led the team brilliantly and from the front.

The competition was between Fakhar, Rizwan and Shadab.

Now Fakhar scored the most runs, but we need to remember that Fakhar Zaman also played one match extra. As his team lost the semi final, they had to play the seocnd eliminator. Rizwan on the other hand played one less game as they won the semi final and went direct to the finals.

Another thing was that Rizwan played 4 not out innings as an opener, while Fakhar Zaman had 0, and thus, his batting avg was at 60+ while Fakhar was at 40+.

Shadab made a better case as in just 7 matches the guy had taken mountain of wickets. As soon as he was out of the games, IU struggled. He proved valuable as a batsmen aswell. Though, some of his wickets were bowled with poor line and length.

Maybe Shadab was a better choice than Rizwan.

Not in a million years

In Multan Sultans, Khushdil Shah was their player of the tournament.

In PSL, Fakhar Zaman was the standout performer.

Definitely! He led from the front and was an inspirational captain along with his personal performances. He seems a really likeable guy as well, so no issues with him winning.

It could've been Fakhar, who in my opinion who IMO was better with bat, but I think Rizwan got extra marks for his keeping and captaincy.

Can be argued but he was right up there amongst the best in terms of the 3 roles he was performing.

- He was the 2nd highest run scorer as a batsman in PSL 7 (546, avg of 68)

- Had most numbers of dismissals as a keeper (9, Tied with Azam Khan)

- Had most numbers of dismissals in an innings (3, Tied with Haris)

- Led his team to the finals, overall losing just 2 out of 12 matches

I am a bit surprised to be honest. He scored a lot of runs but at a very low strike rate. Many a time, had to rely on late order to dig out of slow early run rate issues. Cannot doubt his captaincy or keeping - which were top notch.

For sheer individual impact without reliance on others, I'd have put Fakhar or Shaheen or even Shadab above him. Put opposition under the cosh early in the innings, carried the team many times and inspired back to the wall victories.

So no, don't agree with the choice but will not grudge him at all. What a player Rizwan is.

Fakhar Zaman or Shadab Khan deserved it. Although h Rizwan had a great PSL, he wasn't at his best, the strike rate was low. Also really struggled and nearly lost the match for Multan due to two bad innings he played (53 of 51 balls, and 51 of 42 balls). Also, the thing is Fakhar Zaman and Shadab were huge team carries, but Mohammad Rizwan had others. It can be argued that Shan Masood had a better PSL than Rizwan.

I would give it to Fakhar Zaman. Without Fakhar, Lahore wouldn't have even made it to the play-offs.

I am a massive Rizwan fan but Fakhar deserved it more he scored at a higher run rate took crucial coaches in the final and he also carried his team singlehandedly.

I think, Shadab Khan should have been player of the tournament and SSA should have been the best bowler.

Actually this was a no brainer. Fakhar had a great tournament, but it was impossible for him to match what Rizwan was doing because Fakhar can't bowl or keep. Just think of Rizwan as an all rounder who is averaging 68 with the bat and 20 with the ball. And I am not even going to talk about his captaincy because that wil force MIG bhai to close this thread.
