In ODI's since the start of the 2019 World Cup his stats (excluding the 2 Sri Lanka innings in which he scored 130 runs combined against a second string SL side) are as follows:

Mats - 9
Runs - 188
Ave - 20.9
SR - 82
HS - 62
50's - 1

In T20I's his stats since the start of 2019 are as follows:

Mats - 14
Runs - 132
Ave - 10
SR - 110
HS - 36

Those are tailender type numbers he's been putting up for 2 years now, and he can't even score against Zimbabwe for crying out loud.

Yes he needs to be dropped!

Thanks for posting this. As an observer you know that Fakhar seems to be struggling but it's nice when it's clearly laid out for us.

To replace Fakhar with a left hander, Zeeshan Ashraf is a decent option out of what we have, but not the greatest batsman. He is atleast a potential short term replacement for Fakhar. Sharjeel is not that great either and his fitness is terrible so I wouldnt go with him.

How about:

Babar
Zeeshan Ashraf (or Zeeshan Malik)
Haider
Abdullah
Hafeez
Talat/Khushdil

or just straight up
Babar and Haider opening with Abdullah at 3

Abdullah is probably the best long-term solution to an opener. Should open with Babar, followed by:
Haider
Hafeez
Rizwan
Khushdil
Shadab
Imad
