Does PSL deserve at least 8 Teams in 2025?

Surely, PSL needs more teams to make it more interesting. The PSL is a globally recognized brand and can surely handle more teams. This would make the games even more exciting. Also, having a separate channel for Urdu commentary would make it better for local fans to enjoy the matches.

PTV Sports can bid separately and offer Urdu commentary.

Heck why not go one step further and offer separate broadcasting rights to the different regional channels in Pakistan i.e. Pashto for KPK viewers lets see if the market bids.

Sialkot and Faisalabad can be the next teams in the PSL.

What why? PSL was doing much between until 5 or 6 season, this year final was good but overall the broadcast quality and stuff weren’t upto the mark.

They need to make the product bigger before adding more.

PSL should have English, Punjabi, Pashto, Urdu, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Balochi commentary.

Additional teams will increase number of games and days. Pie size will decrease for existing franchises. Team qualities will be reduced. So the decision to increase teams should be taken carefully.

8 teams would mean a longer tournament.

PSL does not have the luxury of a set window - international players will go missing towards end of the tournament for IPL etc.

Yes they can easily add Muzaffarabad and Sialkot to increase the team count but I don't think other franchise owners will allow this to happen as their profit share will decrease.
