I hope he was 4.2 light years away too like the nearest star.

Crazy Joe Biden is trying to act like a tough guy. DRAMA GUY Joe Biden just got put in his place by President Trump. President Trump should hold a golf charity match with him to raise funds for the Great Mexican wall. Boxing match would be even better but then CRAZY joe will be outmatched. Sad for him!

Trump tweets that Jim Comey is a "slimeball" and leaker of classified information.

This week however, Trump pardoned Dick Cheney's aide Scooter Libby...a leaker of classified information !

Wow that interview with fox and friends live interview was next level, self incriminated himself at least 3 times, yet i doubt it will matter

Wonder if the thawing tensions with North Korea will make The Donald the next dubious recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.

Interesting developments in the trade war with China. American companies were just barred from doing business with ZTE (a company that can't survive without American capital goods) which has essentially forced China to ease their stance a little and go to the negotiating table. If ZTE loses access to American capital goods before Chinese firms can develop alternatives, which is at least ten years away given the shape of China's semiconductor industry, it could go out of business and the repercussions will be global since it's one of only four companies in the world that make mobile network carrier equipment and a significant chunk of the world's mobile networks run on ZTE (Telenor and Zong in Pakistan for starters. Telenor especially since they exclusively use ZTE as opposed to Zong, who use three vendors).

Trump says potential talks with Kim could happen in 'three or four weeks'

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump said during a rally in Michigan on Saturday that there would likely be a US-North Korea meeting in the near future, but "whatever happens, happens."

"Look, I may go in. It may not work out. I leave," Trump said in Washington Township on the night of the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

The President went on to say he thinks "we'll have a meeting over the next three or four weeks."
Trump contrasted himself with former Secretary of State John Kerry, who helped negotiate the Iran nuclear deal that the US leader has long criticized.

Trump spoke with South Korean President Moon Jae-In earlier Saturday, and in the speech he said the South Korean leader credited him for the apparent progress with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

"He gives us tremendous credit," Trump said. "He gives us all the credit."

Trump said the goal of the talks would be to "de-nuke" the Korean Peninsula and acknowledged the situation was difficult to predict.

"I'm not going to give you what's going to actually happen because we don't really know," Trump said.
Meanwhile, in an exclusive interview with ABC News' Jonathan Karl, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Kim indicated he was "prepared" to work towards denuclearization during their meeting in Pyongyang four weeks ago.

"I had a clear mission statement from President Trump. When I left Kim Jong Un understood the mission exactly as I described it today," Pompeo said in an interview that is scheduled to air on the "This Week" program Sunday in the United States.

The US secretary of state said he and Kim had an "extensive conversation on the hardest issues that face our two countries."

The Pompeo-Kim meeting was one in a series of high-level diplomatic talks over the Korean Peninsula, ahead of a potential meeting between Trump and Kim in late May.

In a historic move on Friday, Kim crossed the demilitarized zone that divides the Korean Peninsula and met with Moon, the first time the leaders of North and South Korea have met in person since 2007.

Following a full day of talks and symbolic events, both Moon and Kim issued a statement calling for the end of the Korean War and heralding a "new era of peace."

Speaking with Trump over the phone on Saturday night, Moon told the US President both he and Kim agreed Trump's "big decision" had greatly contributed to the unprecedented series of diplomatic talks, according to a readout from the South Korean President's office.

Trump admits son met with Russian to get information on opponent

WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump admitted on Sunday (Aug 5) that his son met with a Russian lawyer in Trump Tower in 2016 "to get information on an opponent" but defended it as "totally legal."

It was Trump's most direct acknowledgement that the motive for the June 2016 meeting was to get dirt on Hillary Clinton, his Democratic rival for the presidency.

As he has in the past, Trump insisted in a tweet that he did not know at the time about the meeting between his son Donald Jr. and Natalia Veselnitskaya, a lawyer with links to the Kremlin.

"This was a meeting to get information on an opponent, totally legal and done all the time in politics - and it went nowhere. I did not know about it!"

The meeting has come under intense scrutiny from Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating whether members of the Trump campaign coordinated with a Russian effort to sway the 2016 election in the Republican's favour.

The president's tweet about the meeting was one in a thread in which he reiterated criticism of Mueller, calling his probe "the most one sided Witch Hunt in the history of our country" peppered with "lies and corruption."

The Washington Post reported on Sunday that Trump has been brooding in private about whether his son unintentionally put himself in legal jeopardy by meeting with Veselnitskaya.

Trump called the Post report "a complete fabrication."

ILLEGAL MEETING?

The Trump Tower meeting was arranged by British music promoter, Rob Goldstone, who told Donald Jr that he had "information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father."

Young Trump responded "I love it" when first offered the "dirt" on Clinton, the Democratic nominee.

News of the meeting, which Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and top campaign official Paul Manafort also attended, broke in July 2017.

Donald Jr initially said in a statement to The New York Times that the meeting was "primarily" about American adoptions of Russian children.

He later admitted he accepted the meeting with Veselnitskaya in hopes of obtaining damaging information on Clinton, but said nothing came of it.

The Post had reported that the statement to The Times was dictated by the president, though at the time Trump's lawyers denied his involvement.

They later reversed course in a memo to Mueller and said Trump was indeed behind the statement that omitted the prospect of collecting dirt on Clinton.

Lawyers described the statement as "short but accurate," according to The Post.

Asked on Sunday why he had denied the president's involvement, one of Trump's lawyers Jay Sekulow told ABC that "I had bad information at that point."

"I made a mistake in my statement," he said. "That happens when you have cases like this."

The president's lawyers argue that the meeting, in and of itself, violated no laws.

"The question is how will it be illegal?" Sekulow said on Sunday. "What law, statute, rule or regulation has been violated?"

UN audience laughs when Trump boasts of achievements

An audience of world leaders at the United Nations laughed on Tuesday when President Trump boasted of his achievements during his time in office.

"In less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country," Trump said, opening his address to the U.N. General Assembly.

Audience members then began chuckling and the laughs grew louder when Trump said "so true."

Trump smiled and paused, then responded: "I didn't expect that reaction but that's OK."

The president touted his domestic efforts, including tax cuts and his push to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, before addressing his foreign policy goals.

Trump often claimed that his predecessor, former President Obama, turned the U.S. into a laughingstock on the world stage.

"We need a President who isn't a laughing stock to the entire World. We need a truly great leader, a genius at strategy and winning. Respect!" Trump tweeted in 2014.

Michael Cohen has been sentenced to three years in prison.

The judge notes that Cohen acted at the direction of "Individual 1".

Individual 1 is Donald Trump.

Some of the jabs thrown at Trump's way are kind of petty and no different than the jibes republicans and random rednecks threw Obama's way when he was president.

He has a very odd and narcissistic way of presenting himself but some of the major news agencies in the US and the rest of the developed world would have you believe that that alone means we should call for his head.

So why isn't there action against Trump?

This is easier said than done.

To impeach a sitting President isn't easy, heck he might not even be impeached..by the time the investigation with Mueller ends his term might be coming to an end. From the looks of it, stuff isn't really going well for Donnie.

At this point, let's wait for the conclusion of Mueller's investigation.

It's a sham democray, in fact western democray is very flawed as we also see in the UK right now.

A judge has jailed a person and stated his actions were directed by the President but the President can continue his role lol. In any normal criminal case the person who directed the offender would be arrested for conspiracy immediatley.

Donald Trump threatens to shut down US government for 'years' over wall funding

Donald Trump has threatened to shut down the US government for months or even years as he fights to get funding for his planned Mexican border wall.

The US president told Democrats he was also considering declaring a national emergency so he could bypass US Congress and secure the funds necessary.

Speaking at the White House, he confirmed that he had made the threats in a meeting with Democrats Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and other congressional leaders.

The US government is now approaching its third week of partial shutdown over funding for a wall on the Mexican border.

Mr Trump has demanded $5bn (£3.95bn) of government money for the project, which he originally claimed would be funded by Mexico, but the Democrats have refused to authorise the spending.

The shutdown has left 800,000 government workers unable to work or collect a salary.

Mr Schumer, the Senate minority leader, said the Democrats had asked Mr Trump to not "hold hundreds of thousands of Americans hostage" and to "open up the government" in order to continue discussions on the wall.

"We told the president we needed the government open. He resisted," he said. "In fact he said he would keep the government closed for a very long time for months or even years."

Asked if he had made the threat, Mr Trump told reporters: "Absolutely I said that. I don't think it will but I am prepared."

He added that discussions with the Democrats had been "productive" and that both sides were "on the same page" when it came to ending the government shutdown.

"It's very important that we have great border security," the president said. "I think it's going to be over with sooner than people think.

"I will do whatever we have to do. If we have to stay out for a very long time, we're going to do that."

He said he had designated a team to meet over the weekend to discuss an end to the standoff.

Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi described the meeting as "lengthy and sometimes contentious" and said the parties "cannot resolve this until we open up government".

The Democrats this week took control of the House of Representatives after winning 235 seats in November's midterm elections.

On Thursday, they approved new legislation that would end the government shutdown, with a bill that would fund Homeland Security until 8 February, while not giving Mr Trump the additional money for building a border wall.

Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell dismissed the move as "political theatre" and said the Senate would not deal with legislation likely to be vetoed by the president.

I am surprised in this day and age when it takes 2 seconds to google there are still people this ignorant who claim his odd and narcissist way of presenting himself is what is being used to call for his head

All 3 US intelligence agencies have agreed Russia interfered in the election. Trump has been in Russia mafia pockets for decades. So many of Trump's advisers and officials have been jailed, indicted or confessed. His son in law and daughter will be indicted next. He is literally doing all that Russia wants openly, meeting Putin multiple times. Yet people lie like this. Is there a rule that anyone who tries to support Trump, even indirectly, has to lie like him?

This shutdown is totally unnecessary and brought about because Trump got cucked by Rush and Coulter.

Trump claims he's got the money for the wall from Mexico through USMCA (which sounds like the Village People song). Okay, so why do you need this $5bn ?

The Senate passed a bill, but now McConnell doesn't even want to bring up that same bill in the new Congress for a vote.

Ladies & Gentleman, Introducing the President of the United States of America, the leader of the free
world!

God help us all!

I predict unprecedented participation rates from non-white American group in upcoming election. In fact, we probably would see highest voting rate ever from both groups. I know I am taking my parents and grands to the voting booth who have never voted before.

People really are feeling strongly about this regardless of their affiliation.

Wow.

One of the best US presidents of all time

Extremely charismatic and brave enough to call a spade a spade.

He says a lot of questionable things regarding global warming, but outside of that people pick on every little thing about him which in turn makes them look like bullies and him as the good guy, even if it isn't true.

Have to say it was a brilliant move by the Republicans to put him in the running.

The dems still don't get it, same with most who oppose his views, they're still trying to get personal with Trump with their propaganda, and that strategy just simply won't work if they want to win in 2020.

But weigh that up with he is incredibly rich, successfull TV show, elected POTUS, and a booming economy, the most talked about person alive.

You can see the hate oozing from the left, Trump has stood up to the Clintons and taken control.

Kardashians have a more successful TV show.. does that demand respect? He was elected due to the electoral college.. of it was true democracy here in this country, he would not be president. Not to mention his highly unethical business practices, political strategies and refusal to disclose his tax returns, and history of lying and cheating and disrespectful behavior towards women and minorities... I am sorry if you respect him for these “qualities” and find him “charismatic”!

He used to bash Obama for playing golf once in a while and used to tell him
To go be President, he travels to Florida every weekend on our dime to play golf.. rarely works, watches tv all day, doesn’t pay any attention to intel briefings .. how can you expect him to be an effective president?

So he is no different to a normal politician then just a bit more intelligent.

He is intelligent? Hahaha. That’s the funniest thing I have heard in a while now. Are you American? I am guessing you are not.

Even his supporters know he ain’t the sharpest tool in the shed. They just like him
Cuz he is brash and doesn’t mince words.. no matter how stupid he sounds. Just so you know his lawyers threatened his former high school and university where he got his education from, about releasing his educational records when he decided to run for president. If he is so smart, why did his legal team ever need to take such a step?

He is smart is just another lie, such as he was unfit to serve his country during the Vietnam draft or that he is a self made millionaire. Those are lies too. He made his money by lying and cheating poor people out of their money. Read up on the Trump University scandal.
You need to educate yourself a bit about Herr Trump.

No he is not! That’s another misconception. American presidents are considered the most powerful due to their various relationships, alliances with major powers of the world. Trump has effectively abandoned EU, Canada and other nato allies .. he is always bashing them left and right. He prefers Russia over the traditional US allies. He prefers Kim Jung UN for pete’s Sake!
Be smart and don’t blindly follow what certain news outlets want to tell you.

Actually, the reason why the American President is considered the most powerful man in the world is because he is Commander in Chief of the most powerful Military in the world.

Saying this, all Presidents are puppets and subservient to Lobbyists and the Banks, and the President's legislative power is pretty minimal too - he cannot do much without the approval of House of Representatives, which makes his office the weakest.

I would partly agree with this. In this day and age, it’s mostly about the political pull and economic might of a country. With all the military might in the world US has still mostly lost to achieve some of the goals they deployed their military for. Vietnam, Afghanistan and ME are examples of that. Modern day supremacy is based on economics and how smartly countries use their resources. US is now buried under trillion dollars of debt thanks to these wars and bad decisions. China practically owns us now.
But I digress, that’s a separate topic of discussion. But it’s a well known fact America is not the world leader under Trump it once was previously. It has pulled out of trade agreements, geopolitical agreements, and other leadership roles. The world right now is bemoaning the loss of America as world leader due to some inexplicable policy decisions of the Trump administration. He doesn’t believe in global warming and has pulled out of the Paris climate accord. He has failed to achieve anything substantial on the North Korean issue and king Jong un is playing him like a fool as is Putin.

My dear God!

This guy is still a 17 year old high school bully with the IQ of a 10 year old elementary school bully trapped in an obese 70 something year old body. Hahaha

My God!!! Charismatic!!??? What’s your definition of charisma? Vomit inducing cringe worthy personality?

DT has no personality, he talks like an uneducated illiterate and his hair looks like a bird died on his head.....

Yes, a random poster on the Internet will now tell me how uncharismatic Donald Trump is when the guy had a very successful TV show "The Apprentice", has a star on the Hollywood walk of fame, and even appeared on several WWE shows.

Another display of hypocrisy

What hypocrisy? Only Donald Trump had the balls to say out loud what was in the minds of silent majority for a very long time. He did not care about political correctness as long as he spoke the truth.

This is the height of desperation when you have to compare the Kardashians with Trump. The latter is a business tycoon, a billionaire, a real-estate giant. He did not have to undergo plastic surgery all over his body to be successful.

Trump is far more charismatic than any recent democrat candidate.

Donald Trump does not need your approval. His resume includes keywords like President of the United States and billionaire.

Hmm I thought about replying but on second thoughts I think best to leave you in in peace.
If this is your belief then so be it.

I am at peace, it is Trump's opponents and critics who have to come at peace specially after their hero Mueller failed to find any dirt on the POTUS.

Wow I don't know whether you're trolling or serious because that is not what Mueller found.

He did not find any evidence of a collusion between Trump's presidential campaign and Russia. Trump won the elections fair and square. You call this truth trolling?

Having a Hollywood Star does not mean you are charismatic.. hein a billionaire doesn’t mean you are charismatic. Winning the election where your opponent got nearly three million more votes does not mean you won by popular majority. Winning an election where an enemy super power has been proven to campaign against your opponent does not make your victory worthwhile either.

And none of these things guarantee you are morally and ethically a sound person either. Your actions do. Your history does. You dodged the draft and refused to go fight when your country needed it. You cheated millions of your countrymen out of their hard earned money with your trump university scam and you lie and cheat through your teeth, you even cheated on your wife. Does that make you charismatic? If those are your standards, you are truly an odd one!

So how is the economy, wages and employment going with Trump in power.

So how is the economy, wages and employment going with Trump in power.

It’s an ill conceived notion trump helped turn the economy around in two three years since he has been in the Oval Office. The economy was bad when Obama inherited it in 2008. Then the mortgage crises happened. Over the next 8 years slowly and surely the economy turned around and started doing well. I am not going to give the entire credit to Obama because it was a bunch of factors that played into the healthy recovery. Overall the US economy has a healthy foundation but it does go up and down cyclically every few years. Once the recession was over, it was only bound to improve. None of that credit goes to trump. In fact his policies make investors nervous and the stock market has seen more up and downs than ever under his presidency and that’s fact. If you want to believe it’s healthy and all of it should be credited to trump’s mere three years of presidency, I am afraid you have zero knowledge of the US economy and the laws of economics in general.

If you listen to an expert (that is someone who knows the subject they are talking about) then you can understand how things evolve and why they are.

Listan to news media and all you will do is go around sprouting their propagander.

Khazan: Would you call Trump a charismatic leader? Why or why not?

Sara Gorman: I would absolutely call him a charismatic leader. A charismatic leader is not necessarily a negative, but what we found in the book and what we see with Trump often is that anti-science charismatic leaders, or charismatic leaders who espouse things that are not true, obviously they have a big effect that can be very negative.

Extract from your link.

White House economist Kevin Hassett insists that Trump deserves the credit.

"I can promise you that economic historians will 100 percent accept the fact that there was an inflection at the election of Donald Trump and a whole bunch of data items started heading north," said Hassett, who chairs the council of economic advisers.

"Inflection" is just a fancy word for turning point. So Hassett is arguing that conditions since Trump was elected are significantly different than conditions were before.

Read the full thing including the conclusion at the end.. don’t start jumping around because the article is giving you both points of view and you just read the part that favors your belief.

And quite honestly, I am not going to argue over if you find trump charismatic. I am sure you and a lot of people do. To each their own. My definition of charismatic is different from yours and you are entitled to your opinion. I am sure nothing I say here will change that so it’s a pointless debate.

Oh good I have been wanting to ask someone this question.

Trump has put the most sanctions on Russia, how does this help Russia.

Mueller found ten examples where Trump attempted to obstruct justice. Trump and Barr lied when they claimed it was total exoneration.

That's not what he set out to find. Democrats were crying Russian intervention from day 1 and they pinned all their hopes on their hero Mueller so they could impeach the president. At least the democratic leadership has given up this dream. Nancy Pelosi, herself, made it clear that they are not going to impeach the president anymore. This came from the mouth of a lady who made a fool of herself by clapping like an imbecile during the president's state of the union address. Yet, some Trump haters have still not given up and clinging to petty things like obstruction of justice. Their desperation to find any dirt on Trump is hilarious. No matter what they throws at him, Stormy Daniel's case, Kavannaugh's appointment, Mueller investigation, Wall battle, etc. Trump just triumphs over everything.

Obstruction of justice is a felony and is what ended Richard Nixon's Presidency so to call it petty is ignorance. The only reason Trump is not going to be impeached is unlike Nixon's time when Republicans in Congress had guts, today's servile bunch refuse to hold their president accountable.

Collusion doesn't even have a criminal definition and I always said that was overblown when the real issue is obstruction of justice. Mueller did not reach a prosecutorial judgement on that because long standing DOJ guidelines state you cannot indict a sitting president.

That doesn't mean he exonerated Trump if you actually read his findings. There are ten counts of obstruction which even conservative Fox News pundits like Judge Napolitano has called out:

It's not just Napalitano. 566 former federal prosecutors have signed a letter, including Republicans, stating Trump would be indicted on multiple felonies if he wasn't president.

As for Trump "triumphing", the Southern District of New York are still continuing their investigations. Mueller has referred a total of 14 potential cases to other prosecutors. It's laughable to be doing a victory lap unless you're a cult member.

So, it seems like you have not given up your hope on impeaching Trump. Can you answer just one question? If obstruction of justice was a bigger issue then why none mentioned it before the Mueller findings? Everyone was talking about the Russian collusion only. Only when they could not find anything related to the collusion, they started screaming obstruction of justice.

What illegal acts did he do? The obstruction allegation against Trump seems to be based on two, or perhaps three, incidents: (a) the request that Comey drop the criminal investigation of former national-security adviser Michael Flynn, (b) the firing of Comey, and (c) an impulse to fire Mueller. The third is difficult to take seriously because, if it happened, it is at most an unconsummated directive: White House Counsel Donald McGahn declined to carry out an order to fire Mueller that he had not gotten directly from the president.

All permitted.

What happened when hillary destroyed her laptop after congress ordered them to save it, where was the obstruction of justice then?

Impeachment is not going to happen. I thought most must have realized it by now. Trump is going to complete his term and will win 2020 as well seeing the types of presidential candidates coming from the Democratic party.

Racist being racist but lets all appreciate it as long as he speaking the truth.

Being a racist, misogynist is actually called being honest as long as it is only against a particular set of people. That’s the new world we live in, thanks to the Cheeto president!

Oh by the way, lying through your teeth and cheating on your wife is all forgiven as long as you are just “speaking the truth”!

I'm not calling for Trump's impeachment as A) the votes in Congress aren't there and B) Let the American people do it at the ballot box. Being realistic.

Who wasn't talking about obstruction of justice ? It's been an issue ever since Trump himself fired James Comey and was dumb enough to admit on NBC that it was related to Russia :))

Mueller found ten counts of obstruction in total. You didn't mention that Trump also instructed his former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski to demand Sessions reverse his recusal from the investigation and limit the scope of Mueller's probe.

The fact the aides didn't execute Trump's orders doesn't exonerate him because for obstruction of justice you need to prove corrupt intent to impede an investigation. You don't need to take my word for it - over 400 former federal prosecutors have said they would have brought obstruction charges against Trump had he not been President.

You don't seem to grasp that what saved Trump is that there's a long-standing directive in the Department of Justice that you cannot indict a sitting President.

What happened when hillary destroyed her laptop after congress ordered them to save it, where was the obstruction of justice then?
I'm not a Hillary fan but there were countless probes into Hillary's emails and as Comey, a Republican Director of the FBI said, no reasonable prosecutor would've charged her over it.

Dems are playing for 2020. Impeachment is not possible because they don’t have votes and republicans will vote along party lines.. there is no shame. There is clear evidence of obstruction but since you can’t indict a sitting president, mueller didn’t do it and left it up to the elected reps to decide his fate. And the elected reps are about half repubs so it ain’t happening
