Donald Trump - President of the USA's legal troubles

Donald Trump explaining the finer details of a nuclear weapons programme.

Can't believe Vince is a stooge for this guy, he'd do anything for his ulterior motives; has always been a shady personality.

Richard Wolffe sums it up perfectly in the Guardian.

For the last several months we all thought we were watching the presidential version of Celebrity Apprentice. Trump was going to walk into our living rooms, fire somebody at random, and then happily walk out.

In fact, we have our shows all mixed up. This is actually a very long season of The Office, with our new president playing the role of a self-obsessed buffoon who clearly thinks he’s smart, funny, kind and successful.

Trump is the boss we all know so well, and never want to see again. The one winging it at every turn, in every sentence. The one who just read something, or talked to somebody, and is now an Olympic-sized expert.

“I have been briefed,” he declared, as he explained what passes for his poodle-like policy towards Vladimir Putin.

“And I can tell you one thing about a briefing that we’re allowed to say, because anybody that ever read the most basic book can say it: nuclear holocaust would be like no other. They’re a very powerful nuclear country and so are we. If we have a good relationship with Russia, believe me, that’s a good thing, not a bad thing.

Coming from the mouth of Ricky Gervais or Steve Carell, this might be rather funny. But as we know from the guests at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump travels with military aides who carry real nuclear codes.

It’s great that he’s reading the most basic books about that nuclear holocaust. Who knew it could be so awful to obliterate the planet?

He’s also been reading about uranium, which is cool. It’s best if he explains this one in his own words: “You know what uranium is, right? This thing called nuclear weapons, like lots of things are done with uranium, including some bad things.”

Now he has made up a terrorist attack in Sweden in his head!

This rise of Trump is worrying. I hope this BS doesn't spread to other countries like India.

President Trump - Terrorist attack in SWEDEN (confusing it with the attack in SEHWAN, Pakistan!)

In a speech related to terrorism, The President of the most powerful nation on earth can't tell the difference between Sehwan, a small town in Pakistan, and Sweden, a Scandinavian country in Western Europe, claiming that a terrorist attack took place in the latter when in fact it killed over 80 innocents in the former! .

At Florida rally president refers to attack in Sweden that did not happen, possibly confusing it with Sehwan in Pakistan

Donald Trump appeared to invent a terrorist attack in Sweden during a campaign-style rally in Florida on Saturday, inviting questions that he may have confused the nation with a city in Pakistan.

With thousands of Trump supporters gathered in an aircraft hanger in Melbourne, Florida, Trump used his speech to talk about migration in Europe and linked it to terror attacks in Brussels, Nice and Paris. He then added Sweden to the list, incorrectly stating that an attack had happened there on Friday.

Trump told supporters: “We’ve got to keep our country safe. You look at what’s happening in Germany, you look at what’s happening last night in Sweden.”

Sweden, who would believe this? Sweden. They took in large numbers. They’re having problems like they never thought possible. You look at what’s happening in Brussels. You look at what’s happening all over the world. Take a look at Nice. Take a look at Paris.”

There were questions about whether Trump had confused Sweden with Sehwan in Pakistan, where a suicide bomber blew himself up among devotees at the Sufi shrine on Friday, killing 80 people.

Some citizens of Sweden were baffled by the comments. One of the country’s official Twitter accounts, controlled by a different citizen each week, currently a school librarian, said: “Nothing has happened here in Sweden. There has not [been] any terrorist attacks here. At all.”

Also I'm surprised when some white liberals in US say Trump may not be a racist. He certainly has the following qualities:

1) His dad was arrested for his association with the KKK.
2) Donald was sued was housing discrmination in the past.
3) Started the birther movement against Obama.
4) Kept going on about the birther stuff even after Obama produced his B.C.
5) He mentioned quiet a few times that European cities in the past was so beautiful whereas now it's a mess (probably becoz of all the brown & black people).
6) Whenever the issue of racism against black people came up during the debates the first tthing which came out of his mouth was 'inner city violence' & 'black on black crime'.
7) Spoke badly of other racial minorites during the debates as well.
8)Has supported quiet a few racist policies while in office.

I think it's pretty clear to me Donald is quiet the racist.

Now he has made up a terrorist attack in Sweden in his head!

Nope, Trump was referring to the refugee/migrants crimes waves going underreported by Swedish's liberal government. He was talking to Swedish people anyways who received his point. Tucker Carlson show covered the investigations by Ami Horowitz on this subject just last week.

Sorry I haven't read all the posts on this thread.. are you a Trump supporter?

Ami Horowitz????

Are you serious?

If ever there was "Fake News", HE would be it.

Trump deserves a lot of credit and respect tbh. Poor guy is getting treated disgracefully. He is only doing what he said and promised he would do before the election. He is doing what the people of America wanted him to do (he did win the presidency after all). This world is so used to lying politicians that when an honest guy becomes president and actually does what he said he would do they dont like it. Such a shame!!!

What about his report was fake news? Or are you denying those no-go zones and ghettos don't exist? And yep, Trump supporter here.

On that note, Trump just confirmed exactly what I said above.

All it confirms is that you believe everything Trump says, including his attempts to cover up his gaffes by trying to put spin on them and pretend that he was in fact referring to something else instead.

As Carl Bild, ex Prime Minister of Sweden, tweeted "What has he been smoking?". Perhaps Trumps not the only one, and his supporters have also been having a puff or two! :95:

Democrats have only themselves to blame.

They could have nominated a rock start candidate who had many people feeling the bern. People was passionate about Bernie. I have yet to meet someone that was passionate about Clinton. She just did not have the personality and fire.

Sanders would have cleaned house. He beat Clinton in Wisconsin and Michigan and that should have been a sign for the democrats to make him their candidate.

Sanders...2020 now!

India already has a Nationalist PM.

I was being sarcastic about the 'especially in India' part

Hiding behind Western liberals and their fake news media won't get you far, imo. There is a reason Trump was elected here and there's a reason right wing atmosphere is rising in Europe.

Sweden takes in 200k refugees, violence and sex crimes go way up. Coincidence? I agree perhaps the government got overloaded. Still, the fact that the left is trying to run from the facts instead of trying to face them will just give rise to right wing politicians like Trump, Le Penn, etc.

Why did he say "you look at what’s happening last night in Sweden" - that's how you speak about a specific incident, not about a general problem.

It's quite clear he is just trying to cover up for his cluelessness now.

I'm still mourning over Bowling Green massacre!

You should feel better now because they caught the perpetrators in Sweden yesterday.

^^^ That would be like The British Prime Minister Theresa May using The SUN for her intelligence briefings.... but wait .... Both The SUN and Fox News are part of the Murdoch empire.

So now The President of the USA decides his foreign policy and international affairs by watching Fox News?

He didn't make any decision on foreign policy based on what Fox News said, he just made a tweet.

ANYTHING that the President of the USA tweets or says in public regarding other nations affects foreign policy. It's known as sending a message (or making a threat).

Reports of rising crime in Sweden and Germany is fairly often published in right wing media circles (Breitbart, Fox News, etc). So everybody who reads news from these outlets knew exactly what he meant when Trump said that. Keep in mind Trump has regularly criticized Germany and Merkel for the same thing.

Trump wouldn't be the only anti Obamaite out there and he married two foreign women so he can't that racist can he
Also his tan makes him more orange than white

There's my excuses for trump in a nutshell

He's America first policy will definitely make for a more prejudiced and isolated u.s unfortunately

The only problem is Fox News etc were showing made up, false reports. No major crime took place the night before as Trump claimed and there is no increase of crimes by immigrants in Sweden.

That doesn't explain the term he used, unless Trump and his supporters have their own literary rules whereby what happened last night means something other than a specific incident.

If you take only that sentence alone and focus only on the "Last Night" part, yes it makes no sense.

Posting Trump's full quote:

“You look at what’s happening last night in Sweden,” Trump said. “Sweden. Who would believe this? Sweden. They took in large numbers. They’re having problems like they never thought possible.”

"They took in large numbers" - He is obviously referencing the migrant crisis. Probably should not have said "Last night" since he did not reference a single incident but an uptick in crime.

Haha interestingly Right wingers only care about sexual asssaults when an immigrant is involved. Otherwise they just blame the woman for dressing in a certain manner or going out at night or not knowing martial arts.

‘Things have changed’: White supremacists cite Trump in bomb threat targeting Muslim students

On Wednesday morning, two buildings at Concordia University’s downtown campus in Montreal were evacuated after several media outlets received an email threatening to target Muslim students at the college by setting off bombs, the Montreal Gazette reported.

Montreal police are investigating the matter, and police spokesperson Benoit Boisselle said the department does not yet know “whether the threat is founded.” The email making the threat was written by a group that called itself the Council of Conservative Citizens of Canada (C4).

The Council of Conservative Citizens (CCC) is a U.S.-based white supremacist group that was founded in 1985 as a spinoff of the White Citizens Councils of the 1950s and 1960s that fought school desegregation, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The group’s mission states an opposition to “all efforts to mix the races of mankind,” and was described by the Atlantic as the “largest white-supremacist group in the nation.” The group has also been active in Canada and was cited in Dylann Roof’s manifesto, the white supremacist behind the 2015 Charleston church massacre.

This week, one of the buildings at Concordia that was targeted by the bomb threat is scheduled to hold an Islamic Awareness Week between Monday and Thursday.

The email from the Council of Conservative Citizens of Canada included threats to “detonate once per day, a small artisanal amateur explosive devices,” targeting two floors of the Hall building and one floor of the Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts building, both of which were evacuated on Wednesday morning.

The specific locations were described in the email as “where Muslims hang out,” and the sender clarified that the bombs are “not meant to kill anybody. The only aim is to injure some Muslim students.” According to Global News, the email demands a halt of “religious activities of all kinds on campus.”

McGill University reportedly received a similar message, according to CBC. “The campus community radio station at McGill University — was among the media outlets to receive the letter threatening Muslim students at Concordia,” CBC reported. ”

“Since we will [spread] our fight to McGill too, we at C4 decided to give you a heads up of the emergency situation at Concordia University,” the email read, and was signed by an individual who self-identified as the “C4 co-ordinator.”

“Things have changed,” now that President Donald Trump has taken office in the U.S., according to the email. The email comes as 101 bomb threats have been recorded, targeting Jewish institutions across the United States in 33 states so far.

Classes at Concordia have been cancelled until 6 p.m. local time. A statement on the school’s website noted, “Concordia is now cooperating with police who are now on-site investigating a potential threat in these buildings.”

Saudi Prince says Trump is a true friend to Muslims

Saudi Arabia has said the banning of citizens from six countries from entering the US is aimed at preventing terrorists entering the country, according to a senior advisor to the Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

US President Donald Trump met with Prince Mohammed at the White House on Tuesday in his first meeting with a senior official from a Muslim majority country. The pair discussed many pressing issues, including the controversial decision by President Trump to push ahead with a revised version of his controversial attempt to ban some citizens from six Muslim majority countries from entering the US.

McDonald's Twitter account calls Donald Trump 'disgusting excuse of a President with tiny hands'

The Twitter message has since disappeared and McDonald's said its account had been compromised

McDonald's called Donald Trump a "disgusting excuse for a President" with "tiny hands", in a message on Twitter.

The post, now deleted, also said that the company "would love to have Barack Obama back".

The company claimed that the tweet, sent from its corporate Twitter, was posted because the account was hacked into.

"Twitter notified us that our account was compromised," the account posted after removing the problem post. "We deleted the tweet, secured our account and are now investigating this."

In full, McDonald's account posted a tweet addressed directly as the President reading: "You are actually a disgusting excuse of a President and we would love to have Barack Obama back, also you have tiny hands".

Before the message was deleted, it received hundreds of retweets and was pinned to the top of the McDonald's page.

The message was sent from the @McDonaldsCorp account, which exists mostly to post about the company itself. With only 151,000 followers, it is much smaller than the main McDonald's account, which exists at @McDonalds and has 3.4 million followers.

The President is thought to be a fan of McDonald's. Last year, he posted that he was celebrating getting to the 1,237 delegates needed to be the Republican candidate for president by eating a meal from the restaurant, which included a tiny bottle of Diet Coke as well as a Big Mac.

What are US PPers thinking of the Trump administration so far?

From a distance, and as objectively as possible, he does not seem to be doing such a terrible job so far. Better than I thought he would do anyway.

The country has not imploded so far if that was what people thought would happen after DT's coming into power. Let me see, what has he done so far that could be considered bad for America in short or long term;

Banning people for certain countries to enter America, even ones with Greed Cards and visa's
Putting ban on all Syrian refugees
Criticizing Judiciary and making them controversial over the "Muslim Ban" ruling
Criticizing media and press, calling them "enemy of the American people"
Michael Flynn "National security advisor" stepping down just few weeks into his job over Russian contacts
New Attorney General having to recuse himself from any Russian investigation into collusion with Trump because of lying to Senate
Accusing former POTUS of spying on him without any proof etc.
Repealing Obamacare and having no real plan to replace it without causing harm to people

Other than that, everything is hunky dory...

Most Americans have given up on trying to make sense of Trump's statements. :trump

Always interesting to come across some of these old tweets.

So this week Trump's former national security adviser Mike Flynn has requested immunity from investigations into the administration's ties with Russia. As both Trump and Flynn himself said last year - when you request immunity you've probably committed a crime.

Flynn also failed to disclose thousands of dollars of income from Russian companies. We already know Flynn lied to VP Pence about his contacts with Russian officials before the election, and Attorney General Jeff Sessions also failed to disclose his meetings with the Russian Ambassador.

However contact does not prove collusion and investigations have a long way to go. If Trump wants to "drain the swamp" though - he may want to look at his own crooked administration.

http://www.salon.com/2017/04/24/art...dly-tutor-donald-trump-in-the-european-union/

It turns out that Donald Trump is bad at making deals. Yes, the guy who once said “you can’t leave the White House, go to Hawaii and play golf for three weeks and be a real deal-maker. It doesn’t work that way,” is the very same guy who tried to circumvent the European Union and cut a bilateral trade deal with Germany and when refused the first time, he asked 10 more times, according to the Times of London.

During his meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel last month, Trump insisted on to negotiating a trade deal between the U.S. and Germany, only to be shut down numerous times. ‘You can’t do a trade deal with Germany, only the EU,'” a senior German official told the Times of London.

“On the eleventh refusal, Trump finally got the message, ‘Oh, we’ll do a deal with Europe then,'” the official added.

Merkel explained to Trump that he must instead negotiate with the EU in its entirety after his administration’s efforts to reach out to the nations individually had been denied. Merkel also said to her own cabinet members that Trump only had “very basic misunderstandings” regarding the “fundamentals” of the EU and multinational trade agreements.

Like. A. Child.

This is on the back of Xi Jingping literally having to sit Trump down and tutor him about how the North Korea situation is actually very complex.

His AP interview was a car crash too.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-ap-interview_us_58fdb6fae4b06b9cb917f7ca

Describing a meeting with Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), Trump offered the following word salad:

“Well he said, you’ll be the greatest president in the history of, but you know what, I’ll take that also, but that you could be. But he said, will be the greatest president but I would also accept the other. In other words, if you do your job, but I accept that. Then I watched him interviewed and it was like he never even was here. It’s incredible. I watched him interviewed a week later and it’s like he was never in my office. And you can even say that.”

What ?! Primary school children are more coherent than this.

AP: Can I ask you, over your first 100 days — you're not quite there yet — how do you feel like the office has changed you?

TRUMP: Well the one thing I would say — and I say this to people — I never realized how big it was. Everything's so (unintelligible) like, you know the orders are so massive. I was talking to —

AP: You mean the responsibility of it, or do you mean —

TRUMP: Number One, there's great responsibility. When it came time to, as an example, send out the 59 missiles, the Tomahawks in Syria. I'm saying to myself, "You know, this is more than just like, 79 (sic) missiles. This is death that's involved," because people could have been killed. This is risk that's involved, because if the missile goes off and goes in a city or goes in a civilian area — you know, the boats were hundreds of miles away — and if this missile goes off and lands in the middle of a town or a hamlet .... every decision is much harder than you'd normally make. (unintelligible) ... This is involving death and life and so many things. ... So it's far more responsibility. (unintelligible) ....The financial cost of everything is so massive, every agency. This is thousands of times bigger, the United States, than the biggest company in the world. The second-largest company in the world is the Defense Department. The third-largest company in the world is Social Security. The fourth-largest — you know, you go down the list.

AP: Right.

TRUMP. It's massive. And every agency is, like, bigger than any company. So you know, I really just see the bigness of it all, but also the responsibility. And the human responsibility. You know, the human life that's involved in some of the decisions.
Oh god what a simpleton. What did you expect ? Did you ANY homework before running for office ?

He misses driving, feels as if he is in a cocoon, and is surprised how hard his new job is.

President Donald Trump on Thursday reflected on his first 100 days in office with a wistful look at his life before the White House.

"I loved my previous life. I had so many things going," Trump told Reuters in an interview. "This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier."

Imagine what would have happened if he had to deal with two wars that he didn't start and a economy in a complete meltdown.

Speaks volumes about the IQ of his cheerleaders

Pure embarrassment, using kids for a political stunt, that to by a sitting President.

Well, apparently the vote to repeal Obamacare has failed again. Another defeat for Mr. I have Pen ready in hand.

Not all Republicans are thick clearly. Yes Obamacare is not perfect but Trumpcare sounds much worse. Not enough people support it. Trump needs to give up the ghost.

Has this ever happened before? It's like congress has basically accepted that Trump has some suspicious dealing with Russia, but they are willing to look the other way. Something needs to be done.

Trumpcare is basically a diluted version of Obamacare, other difference again is taking money from the middle/lower class and giving it to the upper class. Trumponomics 101, this guy doesn't give a crap about the everyday citizen.

In saying that, Obamacare itself has a lot of flaws, I think we as a country need to move towards a universal healthcare system. Problem is that people here are brainwashed to believe that "socialist" healthcare can be harmful to society, standing in lines, not getting medicine, etc.

President's Trump Speech at the National Boy Scout Jamboree

As the president of the US is an honorary member for the National Boy Scout Association - he/she is invited to their National Jamboree every year.

Typically - most presidents talk about neutral topics such as values, integrity, life stories etc.

However, this year, President Trump mentioned several political topics such as Obamacare, possibility of firing his Health and Human Services Secretary if the legislation doesn't pass and also talking about how many states he won over Clinton during his campaign and also criticizing the media and mentioning the US military power.

Some boy scouts and their parents felt the speech was off-topic and should not be politicized at a National Boy Scout event.

Here is the full speech below.

So basically its Obamacare, but less benefits. Should be moving to make healthcare better, this will make it worse.

All news I'm reading regards to this new "skinny" repeal bill are negative. Don't understand how this can be beneficial for anyone. As I have said before, we as a nation need to move towards a universal healthcare system. This actually takes a step in the wrong decision.
