When a bowler like Imran has 260+ wickets in domestic cricket at an average of 22, it says everything that needs to be said about the level of our cricket.

Overreaction by the OP.
We only have one half decent pacer in Shami.
Yadav does not have a working brain cell. Bhuvneshwar is a glorified trundler and Ishant Teeli Sharma is hopeless.
In the 1983-84 tour of India, Pak sent an attack led by Azim Hafeez (Imran Khan Sr. was injured and Sarfaraz Nawaz wasn't available for some reason I don't remember now). To me, that had to be the weakest Pak attack ever. Even Anshuman Gaekwad scored a double hundred (probably the worst opener to play for India)!
But I agree with many here -- seeing Imran Khan Jr. yesterday, I could scarcely believe that this guy is playing for Pakistan. Utterly mediocre. Even the Aussie rookies took him to the cleaners.

You saw cricket more than me.1983 tour of India probably had the worst attack,i didn't see it though.
He averaged 26 up to this test, not bad.Inconsistent selection has hampered his progress as a bowler in this test.I still rate him higher than Wahab.
we havent had world class pacers since Asif and Amir in 2010. Amir 2016 version is a pale imitatio of the 2010 one and Rahat and Wahab are once in a blue moon bowlers. This whole myth of world class Pakistani pacers is based on our heritage and legacy of producing great quicks. Its like when people assume the Indians now are the best players of spin in the world because of the legacy of the Fab Four.
Agree Amir is just overratedWahab is under rated. He doesn't get those 5vers or 4 wicket hauls consistently, he doesn't have a bowling brain and is a scattergun but he bends his back, gives it everything irrespective of his limited talent and he still does manage to get those break throughs or those 2 wickets in quick succession. Because of his pace, fitness and ability to bowl a heavy ball, dropping him would make the Pak bowling attack completely toothless and one dimensional. If anyone is over rated and under performing it is Amir.

If Amir has been good then Wahab must have had an ATG tour to Australia.Imran has been okay. Amir has been good. Wahab has been good. Rahat has been bad. Sohail has been bad. Yasir has been bad. Fielding has been bad. Pitches have been flat.
Wahab has bowled great, but his no balls ruined a lot. Amir had a great first game. An okay second game in which he bowled well, but didn't take wickets. He was bowling injured in this match. Misbah has run him into the ground. Just like he did with Junaid. If Amir has been good then Wahab must have had an ATG tour to Australia.
An okay second game, huh? He got no wickets, I don't care if he bowled well his primary role is to pick wickets.Wahab has bowled great, but his no balls ruined a lot. Amir had a great first game.
