Sad thing is, we probably have worse backups waiting in the wing. Our depth of talent is another hype that we need to stop with. Our cricket is going through a rough patch. We will need some talented guys to come through to replace these trundlers. Hopefully, that will come sooner than later.

Yadav does not have a working brain cell. Bhuvneshwar is a glorified trundler and Ishant Teeli Sharma is hopeless.

Lol ....spot on. TALL Mighty Ishant remember !!!!! The only thing surprise me is that sohail, Amir, Wahab forms a great trio but Oz still plunders over 500 every time they bat. So result wise fast bowlers looks to deliver the same.

In the 1983-84 tour of India, Pak sent an attack led by Azim Hafeez (Imran Khan Sr. was injured and Sarfaraz Nawaz wasn't available for some reason I don't remember now). To me, that had to be the weakest Pak attack ever. Even Anshuman Gaekwad scored a double hundred (probably the worst opener to play for India)!

But I agree with many here -- seeing Imran Khan Jr. yesterday, I could scarcely believe that this guy is playing for Pakistan. Utterly mediocre. Even the Aussie rookies took him to the cleaners.

I have watching cricket since 1989.I haven't seen such an attack which opposition batsmen even don't fear of.Rather,Pakistani bowling attack was always frightening.They always not only had fearsome pace bowlers but also had world class spinners.This present team has neither.You saw cricket more than me.1983 tour of India probably had the worst attack,i didn't see it though.

I was always a fan of Pakistani team .I never thought that one day i would use the word "was ".Pakistan cricket is in total jeopardy now.

I have been following cricket since 1981. I know this is off-topic, but this series played in India was among the dullest. It felt like neither of the teams were interesting in winning. India had just won the WC, so didn't want to lose. And Pakistan had beaten India the previous year at home, but Imran Khan wasn't available, so they didn't want to lose either. So we had three utterly dull draws. This was the first time I watched international cricket live at the stadium. Went to Nagpur Test with my father. At the end of the day my father asked me to try my best not to lose interest in cricket. He assured me that most other matches are more interesting.

Wahab is under rated. He doesn't get those 5vers or 4 wicket hauls consistently, he doesn't have a bowling brain and is a scattergun but he bends his back, gives it everything irrespective of his limited talent and he still does manage to get those break throughs or those 2 wickets in quick succession. Because of his pace, fitness and ability to bowl a heavy ball, dropping him would make the Pak bowling attack completely toothless and one dimensional. If anyone is over rated and under performing it is Amir.

Amir of 2009-10 is the same as the Amir of 2016. He benefited from the green pitches in England, his bowling averages in Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Australia tell everything, the spot fixing ban saved him from being exposed earlier.

Amir of 2010 could bowl at the same line and length continuously at will. He could bowl yorkers at will. He could bowl at the pace of 150 he was fit and passionate about his game. I don't see that fire anymore that accuracy is missing. Pace is down. He's not using the crease to create angles his action has changed a bit as well.

Wahab has bowled great, but his no balls ruined a lot. Amir had a great first game. An okay second game in which he bowled well, but didn't take wickets. He was bowling injured in this match. Misbah has run him into the ground. Just like he did with Junaid.

It's actually nothing new, Pakistan bowlers always seem to struggle In Australia.

They just don't get their lengths right, often a tad too short.

Also it's a mental battle and when the Aussies get on top it's not easy to fight back. Last day at MCG was a good example.
