I prediect a slow day with Pakistan carefully attempting to erode England's lead.

The England bowlers won't blow anyone away, but then they might have to.

What we realy need today is:

A good opening partnership
All the players have to make a contribution it is the only way we can save this game.
We need to hang around as much as possibel because there still 3 days left in this test match.

Some Updates:

CriCinfo
The good news for England is that Steve Harmison is likely to be able to resume. A spokesman for the ECB said that he had "responded well to treatment". He added: "It doesn't seem to be as serious as was first feared. He has not been sent for a scan or X-ray and as long as there is no reaction overnight we would expect he will be able to bowl." Another source said that he had suffered nothing more than a "tweak".

9.50am Steve Harmison is warming up on the outfield and Andrew McGlashan, our man on the spot, says he looks OK and is moving fairly freely - unlike Andrew himself who is suffering after a late night with the npower girls. Someone earlier said that rather than a strain, what Harmison did was a bit like what happens when you miss a step on some stairs and jar your back/ribs. You feel twinges and it hurts, but nothing too bad in the long term

Simple. We need to bat out the whole day. Big partnerships and contributions from everyone are required

younis MOYO and Inzamam should look to follow the path laid down by hanif Mohammad , Jayawardene and Sangakarra

Alright, everyone read my thread, and pray that what I said in my thread happens :D

Well best of luck to Pakistan, I hope they crawl out of this hole and set a somewhat respectable total.

Is it Monty Panesar, the fat lady?

If it is, he won't be singing anytime soon!

there is absolutely no swing in the pitch... hogga is gonna get PITAAI

Blofeld is saying that the pitch is crap... even school boys who were dismissed for 0 the other day can make centuries & still akmal is shaking

Inside edge.

Why does Hoggard stutter in his run up? He doesnt run in full flow.

What do you expect from a third-class sports channel?!

He just doesn't look right at the moment.

Weirdly he's had two blips in form over the past two years.. and they've both been against Pakistan. Other than that he's been awesome.

Farhat - 100

Younis - 100

MoYo - 100

Inzamam - 100

Faisal - 100

Razzaq - 100

Afridi - 50

That's what we need now

And the experiment of Akmal has officially FAILED. congrats woolmer for failing again

Harmison really unsettling the batsmen here. Both these two need to take us two lunch. Unless they bat unsuprisingly fast, which I doubt.
