Not the turn but accuracy is causing issues to Pakistan batsmen.
 
How is Stokes getting the ball to go around corners here?

Pakistan are keeping things ticking. It's crazy as a neutral to drop in here again after missing half an hour or so and see them being slated as "submissive" and all the criticism. Going at 3+ per over even after wickets have fallen v a reverse swinging ball and a quality attack.

That's no joke to start an innings against + add the scoreboard pressure too. Proper Test cricket this, from both teams.

Pakistan cricket can achieve so much but
for that they have to change the mind set :)

Hopefully they will learn from there mistakes
 
A spinner has to be coming on soon.
Stokes will probably bowl a very long spell.

If Pakistan avoid defeat (let alone win) and win the toss and bat in the next test, this could be a great day.

This will be taking a lot out of England's pace bowlers and at least 2 should play in the next test.

Surely they won't go with the same line up in thr next txt, as the bowling attack has been massacred by England
 
An interesting passage of play here with the ball reversing. If these 2 can survive till the new ball that would be a major battle won
 
The quicks getting tired will force stokes to bring back the spinners.

Pakistan will be more comfortable against Leach and Jacks.

Such a poor squads picked not many other options, other players need to be drafted into squad.
 
Agha still looks very tense.

Azhar doing well so far, might help settle Agha soon. He's doing the right thing by running hard to help Aghar get singles and take his responsibility for keeping the board moving.

Massive spell from Jimmy here.
 
Once you think they are going good, a wicket slows up things. Hopefully these can add 70-80 more without any wicket.
 
Dare I say enthralling Test match, despite dead pitch England's breakneck batting, Pakistan batting in first at a rate faster than they normally do, and now a good combination of Tuk Tuk and ticking away runs.
England bowling their heart out going for victory. 0verall credit to Stoke's captaincy

Just need to keep rotating strike and see if england seamers, cant lose anymore wickets here.

Yes it did but it was English pacers displine that is causing difficulty for Pakistan, else Match would had been all but over.

Don't even need much ability on a pitch like this, someone with clear intent can smack it around. Intent is what England's batsmen have shown, Azhar's intent is always to make every delivery seem impossible to get a bat on.
 
Not that these vwers are improving our bowling. I d take faheem and shadab at 7 and 8. They were far better than these bowlers

Possibly, but he has a knack of breaking crucial wickets and has a bit of a hero complex so would say a combination of the 3.

A little bit unfair. Ball is reversing _just_ a bit and he's a far better exponent of it than Robinson. He's drawn a genuine edge each of his last few overs. I think he's bowling because he's a big chance to break this game open.

Learn to appreciate Azhar is playing just fine.
 
Heck of a shot there by Azhar. Nice to see him moving down the crease to make it happen. English batters do that quite often against us so nice to see Pakistan doing that and getting rewarded for it.
 
Pakistan could had done with a Fahim, Shadab or Nawaz to bat next. Haris Rauf going off injured for bowling was a wasted slot, buy they would not had known that.

Nawaz batting is no better then any of our tail enders. Shadab or fahim fair enough.

Shadab is not interested in test cricket , his last fc match was more than two years ago.He would have been a great addition to the test side.
 
Leach now on to bowl. Will be interesting to see if Pakistan attack him or not just before tea.
