Comparatively they have done well after the first match.
 
That was close,we need Villani out,can't believe Poonam is brought back.
 
Bring back Goswami for an over, sadly Kaur is injured,we need the extra bowler.
 
The confidence of Aussie women are remarkable,looking good to chase this,still a long way to go though,hopefully Indian eves hold on to their catches.

Very poor captaincy by Raj,letting it slip away.

Catching was very poor throughout the tournament by Indians. India has bat and bowled very impressively.

Now just watch - social media will be full of so called celebrities pretending they actually care and know something about woman's cricket.

Tbf Sachin has been sharing on social media about Indian women players since the start of the worldcup.
 
These girls deserve attention, being a Cricket loving County the Women Cricketers really get a very unfair amount of attention and appreciation in India.

Too much obsessed with the Sania, Saina, Sindhu, Jwala, Mary Kom and others who play comparatively less popular sports.

They were but the probability of a blinder by another Indian batswoman and such disciplined bowling by our pacers hard to see.

One of the commentators was saying how India did bowl similar to England as around the wicket that created good seam moment and Aussies were not able to handle it.

Glad to see them reach the final, was hoping for an Ind / South Africa game but this will do. Ind beat Eng in the group game and if they post 280+ it will be a good game and given them a big chance to win

Stop underestimating Indian girls. People said the same against England in the first group match and we put England in their place; there were posts about how NZ was too strong for India in the QF; repeated the same gibberish that Australia would obliterate India in the SF. We all know how those "predictions" turned out. Good thing is this women team isn't dependent on ONE player. Mandhana in the first two matches, Poonam with a hundred against Australia in group stages, Mithali being consistent throughout, Veda against New Zealand, now with Kaur with a blistering hundred, everyone has contributed. India are going into the finals as favourites.

India have been such a big revelation, have your board been supporting them ? or is this a case of the ladies punching above their weight. They have some beastly batsman at the top order that can take apart any bowling attack. I'd literally eat my shorts if AUS somehow managed to win from here astagfirulla

Its backed by BCCI but we have very good bowlers Goswami the tall one has bowled her heart out for so long but Pandey's entry has helped a lot as well,don't think we have replacement for Goswami and she is already old.

Blackwell smacking Indian eves to double six lol WTH is going on,I wouldn't be able to take it if we lose from here.
 
Wow the Aussie girls have even stronger never give up spirit compared to their men,what a knock by Villani before and now blackwell
 
And its done India win by 36 runs off to a final,blunder not to bowl Pandey in the end.
 
Excellent performance from India they have been phenomenal in this tournament and you can see there is a hunger to win the trophy, they may just overwhelm England and they also have that psychological advantage because they beat them in the group game so the belief will be there!
 
There was a good crowd out today, great to see! Lord's will be a sell out as well
 
Congrats to our ladies. Keep up the good work and win that damn cup. Wc is wc whether men or women's tournament. I will watch that game for sure.

Villani fought hard but they needed at least a couple more of their batters to play that way. Yesterday was the ultimate one-women brilliance that I´ve seen in cricket. Just wow!
 
Mitali Raj is quite a clueless captain, who resembles Indian male cricket captains of 1980s and 90s who could snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Despite scoring big totals against England (in the first match) and Australia (in the sem finals), her defensive captaincy kept the opposition hopes alive till the end.

Kohli is no different now (In LOIs). In test matches he was aided very well by Kumble and other support staff because of the time/space available between the sessions/days/dressing room! In LOIs he is looking at outdated Dhoni for help! Dhoni's ploy is outdated now because "wait & see, suffocate" strategies don't work today. Some batsmen are taking the game away in no time on the given day (Fakhar, Simmons) The only way to stop this is by attacking and picking their wickets, you need such players in the team (not Joginder Sharma, Jadeja type of players who worked in the past - probably till previous CT Cup which India won. Dhoni is commendable for that!). Today the suit is big margin victories (where one team may completely outclass the other team in strategies due to above reasons. The other team simply gives it up as they have no patience to combat! It almost looks like strong vs. minnow clash! But it not like that actually!) or it could be strategic chase like Sri Lanka did to us! You may no more see matches (90s style) where a team posts competitive total and the chasing team gets suffocated due to pressure and runrate (The current LOI rules doesn't help either with hard ball from both ends) Even in test matches I am not sure if this ploy holds good for India in overseas. Even in home conditions, tough players like Hayden, Andy Flower or even Chanderpaul can murder us with this ploy (And team spirits like O'Keefe led Australian attack can also trouble us big time by exploiting conditions!)

Attack mode is the current trend!
 
Indian women look like walking skeletons with regards to physique, poor fitness levels and lacking energy on field, compare that with their English counterparts and the gulf between the class is huge.

Excellent crowd lovely to see! this tournament has been watched by more then 50 million people on the telly , could be a big turning point for womens cricket and and a womens IPL is in the works as well
 
Taylor and Scivor are good players of spin and their feet work is superb, much better than Shezzy and Umar against spin.
 
Sciver and Sarah could easily replace Pak's middle order in the men's team. Impressive partnership.

Goswami - the Iron Woman - is too good for Women cricket, in all honesty she's a fit for Men's team rather than women's. Its a bit unfair to opposition team to let a towering woman with solidly built physique play for other team.
 
Need to kick on just about now if English women are hoping to score somewhere around 220-230.
 
Can't believe they're having a hard time negotiating these lollies, each and every one of them should've been dispatched outside the boundary rope. :facepalm:
 
India should win this provided Raj does not ply like Gavaskar once again and waste too many deliveries.

Still plenty of batting to come.

Bring a fast bowler into the attack to rattle some stumps, they're milking the slow bowlers with ease without taking any risk.
 
This skinny girl has some muscle power, can hit them big. England batters didn't hit a single ball out of boundary in their entire innings while India already has 2 already barely at the half-way mark.
 
If England can remove Raut they have a chance. Also, a few cheap overs and the RRR can get higher so that last wicket was important.
 
Loosing wickets at timely intervals has made this difficult for us,also the fitness is not that great so scoring run a ball without Harman makes this very hard,cmon girls fight!!
