We have been missing the services of a pre 15 degree Ajmal, Hafeez and the Afridi of 2011 for a while now.
Our bowlers neither take wickets, nor do they bowl economically. Hence excess pressure on our fragile batting side 9 times out of 10 to post a huge first innings score batting first or to chase a mammoth total batting second.
Inexperience or not, our bowling attack has been letting us down for a long long time now. Our batting cannot get better than this and at best will post or chase par totals.
What excuse do our opening pace bowlers have for being consistently ineffective with the new ball and for our darting, non turning spinners to be ineffective in the middle overs. Why does Pakistan waste the new ball with Imad?
Shane Warne will blame the bowlers for the predicament that Pakistan finds itself in. They have been allowed to get away with mediocrity for a long time now.
