Told you guys one of the opener of Pakistan national T20 team should be Sharjeel Khan.
 
Sohaib should not be opening. Babar Azam should be opening if he is in the team.
 
Sharjeel out because of very slow batting of his opening partner Sohaib?
 
Whose idea was it to play a lower middle order batsman (Sohaib) as an opener when there is a regular opener (Babar Azam) in the team? :facepalm:
 
Azam again dismissed due to a short ball. Really needs to sort out his problems, while facing this delivery.
 
Playing Sohaib as an opener has cost Pakistan the match?
 
I think, they are trying to find an explosive opener out of Maqsood; which is not a bad idea. In T20, there is not much difference between top 3's role. It could be a bad news for Nauman - they are not going to take more than 3 openers + MoHa; with Ahmed fixed, at least for the squad, there is only 1 or 2 spots in the squad left - Sharjeel was already ahead of Nauman, now it's likely that Maqsood 'll make the cut.

This is an eye opener for young players - never get unfit when you are in good touch & almost there for selection; now Nauman 'll need to start from scratch.
 
Curran to Babar Azam, OUT, short ball ,pull and gets a top edge to midwicket, Foakes sprints in and takes a blinder, great fielders them english boys!!

Malan to Sohaib Maqsood, OUT, short ball, pulls and stands there looking for a boundary, Westley at midwicket dives and takes a beauty!!Very very impressive in the field the lions!!Maqsood in shock!!

Dawson to Saad Nasim, OUT, short ball, doesnt sight the fielder, smashes straight to Overton at midwicket!!

2 of the 3 are spinners. Criminal.
 
I don't know whether to laugh at these batsmen or what....This is so expected-Pakistan batsmen getting out on short deliveries.Just proves my point of our domestic structure being a joke.

Pakistani batsmen getting out on short balls even in UAE conditions and imagine what will happen elsewhere.

Pakistan domestics is a problem.Well,more then a problem actually.Need to overall our domestics and trust me we can be fabulous at National level.Root cause lies in our domestic structure and not chopping and changing everything at the highest level.But common let's blame WY beacuse he is not doing anything with our YOUNGSTA BEAUTIES and sack him.Right?

As long as we don't understand the fact that we should invest in domestics I believe we will continue to regress and will continue to sack guys at national level who are there to work with finished products and just need to fine tune them and not to teach them from scratch.

As I write ANOTHER batsman goes out on a SHORT BALL.

Sigh! It hurts!

Topley to Mohammad Nawaz, OUT, short ball, jumps in the air, cuts flat to extra cover, Westley runs a few steps and takes a neat low catch

Curran to Saifullah Bangash, OUT, short and slow, hits it straight to midwicket, what are these batters thinking?

Topley to Kashif Bhatti, OUT, short ball, pulls and gets a top edge to square leg

6 out of 9 to be precise-Batsmen getting out on short ball.
 
It was the better team of England Lions.Can anybody tel where's the next game? I might go to watch it

Haven't seen the match, but I probably can explain; specially when 2 of the dismissals are against spinners.

This is a typical garbage UAE wicket - slow, low & double paced. Most teams in T20, batting 1st will get into this trap, specially if the team is short in upper chamber & doesn't rotate much.

I think, ENG A 'll win the game, but a tight win; which 'll prove that PAK A's strategy should have been to post around 140 on this dead slow wicket.

So, ENG A wins a match after making a blunder - putting opponents in on a .......

Today, PAK A lost for 2 fundamental mistakes, outcome of those have taken PAK to 6th or lower in LO cricket -

1. Not understanding the context of the match - tried to put 170, when a half decent back room would have planned to reach 125 at the end of 18th overs & then whatever comes at more than run a ball in last 12 balls is bonus.

2. Allowed ENG pair to walk at 5/over from over no. 6 to 15, from a position of 14/3 & 2 batsmen on wicket, yet to open the account.

PCB's LO captains are worthy of the administration - ek se barkar ek; trying to out class each other every day. Even with that 116, the sort of start pacers gave, someone half decent Captain (forget MSD) would have made this ENG side wet their box with same bowlers & fielders, chasing 117 under lights on this wicket.
