What's new

England v India | Match 38, World Cup | Edgbaston | 30th June, 2019 | Match Thread

Now i am more interested to see how indian bowling attack bounce back from this :13:

No chance of Aus v Pak scene here.

It's beyond that point. 140 in 19 overs, lol. Even if they collapse, will get to 320+.

If they don't collapse, 400 on the cards.

This is why Roy was such a huge loss for England. He could have been the difference in a tight game like the one vs Sri Lanka.

What i meant was that i am interested to see how indian bowling attack bounce back in next match it's not that easy to bounce back from a phainty like this.

Soft England choking under pressure as expected. They don’t have the mentality to perform when they are under the pump.

It has mostly to do with the pitch being a road, no spin, no seam, swing the bat and you'll never get out.

Great reminder of the time when we had
bowlers like mohit sharma, dindia, awana in our lineup.
Lol at the posters suggesting shankar could have made any difference, he is a dibbly dobbler who avgs 52 with tge bowl.

Indian bowling is overrated. This is their real auqat

They are up against the number 1 ranked team and the strongest lineup in the game. People were fools to think England’s quality wouldn’t shine at some point.

Roy would have got struggled against srilanka,he is poor against the spin

How convenctly you skipped mentioning the umpirming decision in his favor. This is the first thing you mention in case of Pakistan or when England is down.

This pitch was out of syllabus for our bowlers.
More worried about KL, hope he will be able to bat.

You didn't say that when they beat us

Could have, we will never know. Today is the typical wicket they have been playing on last few years. On that wicket against Shami and Bumrah he would have struggled.

Mental midget Vince would have been back in the hut by now, and England would be 90/2 now. Roy sets the tone for them and it has a trickling effect on the rest of the lineup.

Well England need to bowl well to stop india chasing. Rahul, rohit, kohli, pandya, pant. This is some batting while chasing.

So many good shots have gone straight to the fielders. Evens out the edges gone for runs.

England need 1 more phatta like this and and a decision or two against NZ in their favor to guarantee their spot in Semi

Or he could have gone in the first over. Let's not pretend the two wickets are the same.

Let the match finish before crying as always. Stick to your IPL. Big boys cricket is not for plastic fans like you and jagatk. :inti

Brother, Roy is a phenom, england would not have lost a match if he played all the games!
Also, india have an incentive, if you know what i mean!

Udhar maaro , ball banana padega - Hardik Pandya.
Hahaha , he knows they need to prepare the ball for reverse swing to get back in this.

Pakistani fans need to understand

India or any team won't like momentum being killed. If England gets going, they will surely win against India in semi final.

India will not deliberately try to lose

Yes this is why they are persisting with spinners.

How convenctly you skipped mentioning the umpirming decision in his favor. This is the first thing you mention in case of Pakistan or when England is down.

So-called greatest umpire in the world Aleem Dar should visit an ophthalmologist and an ENT, and if there is one team that deserves some luck, it is England.

India will disintegrate chasing 300+ in a WC game.

The highest score chased in this WC is well below 300.

Although this seems scripted, the track is new. They can if they are willing to.

My observation is their batters bully the opposition only when the pitches offer no help to the bowlers.

First time In my life I support India in a game and this is what their doing to me lol

I think Basit Ali was on too something lol

But in all seriousness England is showing other teams how you take on Indian bowling apply pressure on them great batting

Or he could have gone in the first over. Let's not pretend the two wickets are the same.

The probability of Roy performing better than Vince on any pitch against any attack is much higher.
