He has done well but poor from England allowing him to rotate the strike with 1-2 balls left in the over. Better fields could have ended this innings a long time ago.

(3) we r not alone and we r more advanced then them and maybe colonise them
(4) we r not alone and they are more advanced and they colonize us

3rd one is not terrifying at all :-p

Yes, but compare this to our batsman who give 5 balls of an over to the tail to fend off. :rahat1
 
Four block single block repeat . With this india will come close to 300. Looks like I’m watching the same over again and again . Root is Misbah who grinds his bowlers to death
 
What an innings by Kohli. Yes he was lucky but you still have to bat under pressure, he did so and singlehandedly closed down the lead! India have all the momentum right now I recon

Not really , if they bring fielders close ,kohli go for big shots ,if not can rotate strike..its rather about class and umesh is defending brilliantly as well
 
I dont mind Rashid being recalled but I am dead certain the guy is a below par spinner in Test cricket. Really surprised how this is the best England can produce and have to come back to him because they cant find anyone better!
 
What's he saving Anderson and Curran for, bring them already.

England gave up when kohli got century. This will affect them for whole series imo.

Give a boundary to have six balls at no.11. Its a no brainier. Yadav has faced only 10 balls in 10 overs, not had too much defending to do.
 
With everyone around him collapsing Kohli still manages to knock the bowling with a strike rate of 65! What a player!
 
An inning can both be lucky and great as well.

Dropped on 22 but goes on to score a magnificent ton to be remembered for a long, long time. Kohli clearly is the Messi of Cricket
 
But we were told by PP expert [MENTION=129948]Bilal7[/MENTION] Kohli couldn't score in England.

We were told by [MENTION=57422]sarfi[/MENTION]BabarHarris that Pujara is a better test player than Kohli because he can dead bat and that Kohli has no impact in tests.

Where you guys at now? Our fans are the worst in the world when it comes to judging batsmen.
 
In his relatively short career, Kohli has already given us some of the most epic knocks across all format. Such a special player.
 
We thought what happen once guys like Tendulkar, Dravid, Lara, Ponting, Kallis leave. We keep getting great batsmen. Kohli, Smith, Root, Williamson.

India trail by only 13 runs ...... They would be delighted to have brought down England lead by so much. Well back into the game.
 
When the next best score is 26, you know you can't put that down to only luck. Sour grapes from some here..

India need to play confidently in the second innings now. The clown army of Rahane, KL Rahul and DK better show up, stand up and be counted!

A disastrous batting display by India comes to an end, England should look to wrap it up by the 4th day. Kohli did well with a lot of luck in the first 1 hour of play. Day belongs to England , disappointed
 
Kohli has scored 54.3% of the total runs scored by India in this innings.Single handedly carried them to a competitive score.
 
How many overs will England bat? I suspect ashwin might bowl quite early to try and get Cook
 
Virat Kohli in Tests in England...
In 2014 faced 288 balls, scored 134 runs in 10 innings.
In 2018 faced 225 balls, scored 149 runs in one innings!

I have seen a lot of scratchy innings from great players. Tendulkar's 100 in West Indies. Lara's 90 odd in India. This is definitely not scratchy. He struggled. But when the ball was in his zone he was in very good position every single time. It is still a beautiful knock.

He went into his zone after Ashwin got out...almost flawless after that
 
Kohli has kept India in the game. Now upto the bowlers to get India back on top.
 
Amazing ball by Ashwin, we can chase 160-170 max, so Kohli will have 150 to play with tomorrow anything above it will surely make it 1-0 for England, great day's play
 
For a second I thought that Cook dismissal was Sky just showing a replay of what happened when Cook faced Ashwin in the first innings...I guess not :inzi
 
These are the Test matches (& innings) that makes me nostalgic!!!! There is almost nothing between 2 teams and we are into 3rd innings. One mistake ENG shouldn't do is playing too safe - they have a tiny lead and what IND would wish is a stagnated score board.
 
Redemption for Kohli and more importantly Ashwin. Needed this performance badly with Kuldeep breathing down his neck. A bad test here and his career could have suffered. Wonderful comeback.

Amazing two days so far. Except for poor catching by both sides, great exhibition so far.
