The Ageas Bowl’s Royal London One-Day International between England and Pakistan on Saturday 11th May is now sold out.

In response to the high demand for tickets, the home of Hampshire Cricket added in thousands of additional temporary seats, but these have all now been snapped up and England’s second 50-over fixture of the series against Pakistan will be played in-front of a full house at the Ageas Bowl this weekend.

The Ageas Bowl Chief Executive, David Mann said: “We were delighted with the success of the Test Match last year and the strong demand for International tickets at the Ageas Bowl has continued this year. This is very encouraging given the amount of International cricket on offer, and a testament to the hard work that our team have put in over the winter. We’re looking forward to welcoming a sell-out crowd to the Ageas Bowl on Saturday for what promises to be a fantastic day of cricket.”

Even though it would reduce our bowling resources, it hardly matters when the bowler playing instead is Faheem Ashraf.

I know that and don't want Shoaib Malik in the playing XI for the World Cup, but here I am talking about the 2nd ODI vs England, where Shadab isn't available.

Malik still is a better option than Asif and Faheem, and could provide some useful overs of spin bowling along with Mohammad Hafeez and Haris Sohail in the absence of a genuine spin bowler.

Shadab should replace Malik when available.

Not a bad idea as it does increase the depth in batting. Haris, Malik and Hafeez are more than capable of completing 10 between them. I don't think Hafeez would be willing to play that low though unfortunately.

It is harsh on Asif but if hafeez is playing he comes in for sure. Maybe they can wait one more game for hafeez and try asif. And next game we can rest haris to give asif more chance to prove himself.

I honestly believe Pak should try Asif ali as a opener just see how he goes. It could prove to be a master stroke knowing how poor we have been with power play. Think about this now, having him as a opener means, drop fakhar 1 down. Which means if asif fires at top with imam, than fakhar comea in with less pressure we can still do phaanti in the middle overs with having him in the no.3 spot.
