Ertugrul: Turkish TV serials are a big hit in Pakistan

well.... as it turns out, fiction will be finction and reality is something else.

Ertugrul is based on history. He was real character and so was the Ottoman empire. And game's not over till king Khan is alive

Parliament is not a game. It is a system. This is one aspect that seems IK and PTI supporters fail to understand.

There's a big difference between playing it as a game in contrast to being in the system and running it.

When it comes to Pakistan, our elite do play musical chairs. Parliament, courts and institutions for them are just different playing fields. IK was a refresher compared to the tried and tested and he's trying to beat them in the 'system' however the system has ganged up on him.

Came across an interesting tweet by an Indian academic, Ashok Swain:

"Why can judges and journalists go against the government in Pakistan but not in India?"

Your 'system' in India is different, compared to the Pakistani one where it is a game. Your governments exhibit more control, where we let people be. Mark my words though, in our system, heads will roll

And the end result of all Imran’s efforts to promote this third class fictional show as some Islamic educational show, and project a barbarian and plunderer and Ertugrul as a heroic figure for Pakistanis, is that Erdogan was the first leader to congratulate Shehbaz on becoming the PM.

You couldn’t make it up. My my my :))) :))) :)))

Is this the end of Youthopian obsession with this series?
