By that logic Imran Khan made little impact in 1992 WC. He was like a passenger in that team ! Took very few wickets and scored some runs but at a slow pace. Almost lost the game against NZ due to his slow scoring !

And top scored in the final. Yup little impact. Big match, big player.

The strategy was to conserve wickets, obv it worked better in the final, but he did a job in the semi too

You already saw the stats. Overall who saw him bat he looked pretty ordinary apart from few innings in major tournaments. I was a huge fan of Inzi and Azharuddin around 1993. My adulation for them had me believing they were better than Sachin. I was wrong. Sachin was clearly in different league, Azhar was fixer and Inzi was a very good ODI batsman who was clearly a league below Sachin.

Inzi also strugglwd against good fast bowling which was surprising for me. He had some of the best fast bowlers in his team and must have faced them in nets. But whenever I saw against good bowlers from Aus, SA it was clear he was not as good against them. He still achieved a lot and had a great career.

He was not better or comparable to SRT but was great specially in 2004 to 2006 and was the main pillar of our batting line up. Pakistan would not produce better middle order batter than him . HE was by far the best middle order bat at that time. SRT was top order bat.
And its hilarious that few people compare here Inzi to Misbah impactless Haq.

He has played enough games against India by now - without any real impact. 2017 CT, 2018 Asia Cup, 2019 WC, 2022 Asia Cup and 2 T20 WCs

Anyways he will get at least 3 more games in 2023 - Asia CUp and World Cup. So lets see

Lol 6 games is nothing and he has done well in 2 of them.

Asia greatest middle order batsman has a very ordinary record in ODI,

70+ innings against top two sides of his era(SA/AUS) - Avg 31 with Zero ton.
35 WC matches - Avg 23 with Zero ton.
35 Tournament Final - Avg 29 with Zero ton.

Inzzi was top class in the Test format. Yah, even in test he struggled against SA and Aus even at home, but he was much better in the test format.

If it's for both tests and odi then YK doesn't even deserve to be on the list nor does VVS Laxman.

Yousaf and saeed Anwar were both good test and odi players. They weren't > YK in test but they were collectively > him if you're counting all formats.

Again is this test or odi? Or all formats? If it's all formats then kohli > Sanga easily. If it's solely test then Kohli doesn't even deserve to be on this list? What is he doing > Dravid, Younis and Sehwag?

Every cricketer is entitled to their own opinion and there will be an obvious bias towards their own cricketing style.

Its no surprise that, Sehwag will like the game-play of Inzamam. Putting aside rhe religious bias, I always like Inzamam’s batting while I was a kid.

Frankly, I used to like Pakistan’s players a bit more before I started lurking around this forum

His numbers certainly doesnt justify his stature just like Sehwag IMO. Both were far more than their numbers.

Another batsmen I used to like from Pak was Yousuf. He had a beautiful back-lift in his batting style.
