A highly informative conversation between Saj and Nasser. They highlighted some fundamental points about Pakistan Cricket. The most crucial point emphasized by Nasser which i like is that Pakistan needs to revisit basics in domestic cricket and focus on developing attacking wrist spinners.

Nas made a brilliant point here. The key to Pakistan's success in future is a solid and robust domestic cricket stuff. If Pcb can rectify the flaws in domestic structure then certainly we can bring in the best talent that would help us clinch more trophies in future.

Good point because how could Rauf possibly trust the PCB to not mismanage him and any injury he gets? We have seen many careers ruined by the PCB due to mismanagement. It was also unprofessional to bring up the private conversations the board had with Rauf in public anyway. If there is some issue, offer him a lower or no central contract next time when it’s time for renewal.

exactly if he is not an all format player then just demote him in the central contract... Also his ODI bowling had taken a lot of hit because of 10 overs to bowl cant go hide anywhere , in this CWC comes to bowl in the powerplay and got hammered every time for 20+ runs by every single team... He seems to be a limited bowler who can survive in T20s because going 8 RPO in T20s is fine but in ODIs it kills the game...

Being Pakistan's Test captain should be a very easy job.

There would be absolutely no expectations of the side to even win a series at home.

Neither PCB nor the fans care about results in the format.

White ball captaincy would be a totally different matter

PK cricket will chug along, the PCB has never had any interest in actually promoting proper systems in PK. Our FC is a total mess and the country is bankrupt both financially and morally. The issues today have been here for decades and nothing has changed or will change.

I don't think there's much expectation from the captain to be honest when it comes to pakistan. It isn't expectations that makes this job stressable.

It gets tougher because they themselves sucked either in to favoritism or civil war and face the repercussions.

Shan isn't doing too bad so far I think.

Some good decisions by him and tactically he seems switched on most of the time.

As for Babar, even giving up the captaincy hasn't improved his form, so far.
