It could be argued that he had prepared for the inevitable, you can make out from his technique that he would have a problem against the short ball but it was a treat to see him show guts to take on the likes of Mark Wood steaming in at 145 km/hr, Plunkett, Ball and Stokes bowling at 140 km/hr and peppering him with short balls and targeting his weakness.

This is the fearless manly attitude every player in the Pakistan team needs to show.

Absolutely.

Didn't resort to ducking. Just kept going even if it meant his helmet would take a beating.

He even came down the track to the pacers when they were pitching it short.

Good stuff. Need to work on this weakness though as more and more bowlers will exploit it.

Won't succeed every time.

It was great to see. The heart of a lion. He wanted to win the game not just get a 50 off 75 balls and talk about how great his technique is

Read somewhere that Fakhar Zaman used to be enrolled in the Pakistani Navy, he left it to pursue a cricketing career instead.

He need to learn how to be ruthless and score 100's. He looks satisfied with 50's just like most Pakistani players.

He had a plan of going after the short pitch bowling in powerplays. Once the field spread out he left the bouncers. Shows that he isnt a blind slogger.

He definitely has the guts but I am also very surprised England did not take advantage of this massive hole in his skills.

Needs to go back home after the tournament and really knuckle down on his short ball play as it is one of the worst I have seen from an opening batsman.
