All of PP is unanimous in wanting us to select certain young players. But as soon as they fail in 1 game they are called every name under the sun and fans want them replaced.

An example is Haider Ali, I have seen people saying he is the same as Umar Akmal after 2 innings. We need to understand he is going to take time to develop as he is only 19. He is an attacking player so he needs to find the right balance between when to attack and when to play safe. But our fans aren't going to help by asking for him to be dropped after 1 bad game or calling him the new Umar Akmal. Most of PP rates him so I don't like to see him being called the new Umar Akmal after 1 tame. I can see why people are turning on someone like Musa as he hasn't shown much even in domestic cricket but we do need to show a little patience even with him as he hasn't played loads of games.

If you want young players to be selected, you must realise that you need to give them some games to settle in and that they will take time to develop.

I hope Haider plays more first class cricket and doesn't go down the T20 leagues route as it won't help his development.

Well if you take those fans seriously then you deserve to stay mediocre. Any youngster picked needs to be given a long rope and HA is one of them. If HA fails we have nowhere to go.

Haider Ali is alright but that khushdil is really a leg sided hack and he will fail against top teams that's for sure.He should be dumped no need to invest on that leg sided hack.

Well done on proving the OP's point within 2 posts in the thread.

Agreed, I was surprised by the amount of people who opposed Khushdil being sent in the super over. I thought it was a good decision.

Pakistani fans are fickle. It was clear we lost today’s game due to inexperience and selection was wrong. I have never seen 4 pace bowlers being played in Pakistan by any captain. We always had a proper spin bowler in the middle overs. Usman Qadir, Gohar, should have been given chances in place of Musa and Shaheen.

Khushdil
Haider
Fahim
Aamir Yamin

Must be given proper run.

Khushdil was unlucky he got a good delivery, otherwise he would have finished the match before 45th over. All those who spk of leg side hack, needs to see fakhar zaman as well. Its natural for left hand batsmen to be good at leg side.

Pakistan need to find a good balance team, and it should include Sarfraz Ahmed, Imad and Shadab. We missed Imad today had he been playing Pak would have won easily.

Misbah needs to go, well i am quite impressed with Misbah selection for youngsters in this series. He has been spot on with given chances. Babar Must improve his strike rate for late overs. He left the match too late, blocking Reza bowling was a joke, he should have been taken to cleaners.

This emotional seesaw is nothing new I think. While the criticism against Misbah is valid considering some non defendable combinations, still emotions towards youngsters need to remain in check. Eng lost to Ireland by 7 wickets just recently, its part and parcel of the game. A team which plays better on the day wins, its pretty simple.

Youngsters are bound to fail....wheather bowlers or batters....nerves...competition...everything....pak need seniors like Babar Hafeez Wahab to guide them and stand by them....the super over can be a nightmare for Khushdil 4 years to come

The amount of hate Naseem Shah and Haider have received after couple of average performances saddens me.
These two are genuine potential world class talents and need to be backed and givin a longer rope then most during their formative years its not their fault our cupboard is bare and they have to learn and develop skills at the top level rather then a competive fc structure I believe with right backing and training and hard work from their end these two will serve us expectionaly for a decade of not more.

It's just annoying when you see such comments after 1 bad innings.

This is Pakistani nature unfortunately, i guarantee you whichever pair went out in the super over and failed misbah would have got stick. If babar went out why is he sending someone who just batted 40 odd overs, if wahab went in why is he sending bowlers, kushdil went in why is he sending debutant, etc etc.

Haider Ali needs a lot to learn only if we have a proper guy to teach him. He needs to curb his uber attacking mode in favor of reliable aggressor something majority of successful LOI players do these days.
In this series, he was more like batting or try to bat in Maxwell/Munro fashion.
Rather than that, I would like him to bat in Eoin Morgan or Martin Guptill way.

Regarding Khushdil, Sharjeel when started his international career was also mainly a leg side player. But under Mickey, he expanded his game a lot and became a lot more dynamic and improved his ability to play spin as well.
