Fastest bowlers in IPL 2018

Who gives a damn for speed?

I'd anyday pick a 120 kmph wicket taker like Siddharth Kaul over some of these 150 kmph champions who get hit all over the park.

Accuracy and swing are more important than speed IMHO.

I would agree with you if these bowlers actually had any skill to make up for the lack of pace. Didn't you see Vinay Kumar getting whacked all round the park? Unadkat is getting the same treatment. Shardul Thakur is more of a long-format bowler yet managed to easily outbowl Unadkat in the Nidahas trophy!

Some of these bowlers who are not getting picked are not only a lot quicker than them but also more skilled.

Siddharth Kaul is not genuinely quick but he's not a 120 kph trundler either. He bowls consistently around the 135k mark and hits 140+ on occasion. And he's clearly a more thinking bowler than the other trundlers who are playing this IPL.

Kaul is 135 to 140. But not to impressed by him.
 
India producing trundlers only nothing shocking here. Umesh is fastest of all. He bowls at 140-145ks and occasionally 147ks.

Faster than anyone in Pakistan except Wahab Riaz.

Shami Bumrah Khejroliya all clocking 140 plus.

In the domestic setup, there are at least ten guys besides the national team bowlers who are genuinely quick. The only problem is that they're not even getting a game in the IPL :facepalm:
This obsession with trundlers like Vinay Kumar, Unadkat, Dhawal Kulkarni, etc. is ridiculous!

Wow so Mavi gets just one over. I want KKR to lose all the games so that the pathetic captain is kicked out.

Khaleel is the most exciting of the lot. Unfortunately Nagarkoti is out of IPL.
 
Mavi looked international quality in U19 WC. Can't understand why selectors prefer TTFs like Thakur over these talented kids.

Thakur actually hit 140 in the last CSK game. I guess it's more fashionable in T20's to bowl slower balls. I've been lamenting about this forever; T20 doesn't reward true fast bowling.

That has been the problem with Siraj too, ended up bowling 4-5 slower balls in an over .
 
See how Yadav is bowling this season. He has been told to forget variations and bowl fast.

Basil Thampi and khaleel Ahmed may not get a chance in playing 11 of SRH with Bhuvi and S Kaul....and decent third option Sandeep Sharma ..bit unlucky

Even KM Asif with CSK very little chance

Nah Siraj is just crap. He has nothing going for him, not even a solid bowling action for that matter. I'm shocked he got such a price in the auction.

Yea. May be they can give a bowler to RR who are stuck with Unadkat and Kulkarni.

Even that's doubtful man. His body actions when bowling doesn't suggest any natural shape that will be added to the ball. He's basically going to be fighting against physiology almost.

Thakur on the other hand has a nice natural action; he needs to stop mucking around and using the knuckle ball as his stock delivery and he'll come good.

Khaleel may not get a game.

Mavi bowled 145ks.
 
Mavi average was 140kph which isnt express but he hit 145kph just ONCE is enough to get excited about especially if you're an india fan. He does look a top prospect i must admit but thats all he is right now. His career could go either way. Adding extra clicks of pace isnt guaranteed if your young like many think.

Talent is not measured by stats and scorecards at under 19 level. The one who owned india under 19 (Anwar Ali) is no where near pak team. The ones he owned like rohit are full seasoned internationals. Shaheen will most likely surpass mavi and nagarkoti with due respect to them☺

Shaheen reminds me most like Salim Zafar from long back.

Asian pacers hardly resembles Aussie pacers because of different grooming. Asian pacers bowl on slower, low bouncy tracks therefore from young age they use wrist and slingy action - they try to kiss the top surface rather than bang the ball on it; while Aussies are groomed or hard, bouncy surface - most of their pacers are heavy on shoulders and they thump the ball on seem hard. There are exceptions in deed.

Between the two, I think SSA'a action is closer to Strac than Irfan.
 
India never had an express fast bowler up to this date while Pakistan has Sami who's fast and furious since the day one and forever!

Consistent 90mph + is rare. Touching that speed once or twice means nothing. India has not had 1 consistent 90+ bowler in history. Maybe Srinath for a period.

Asking him to name 5 is a deliberate banana skin.

Good to see Mavi cracking the list with his pace. If Nagarkoti was not injured, he would be up there with Stanlake.

No Starc, No Rabada, No Nagarkoti to challenge him.

Only Yadav can match Stanlake's pace. But Yadav has cut down on pace in shorter formats. He only occasionally steps on the gas pedal. Most of the times operates around 140k's.

That bowler from Rajasthan; Khaleel Mohammad i guess; want to see him bowl, used to bowl 145+ in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. I think he plays for Hyderabad

Some teams are stacked with talented bowlers while others are full of useless trundlers.

Khaleel Ahmed is getting wasted in SRH. A team like RR can use him.

Of all the teams, I believe only SRH, MI and KKR have competent bowling attacks. The rest are either average or mediocre like RR.

Crap or not, it is still a nice human story. In his words:

A bowling spikes costs a lot and he would just get the best for me. I want to buy a house for them now in a good locality," an emotional Siraz said.
