The talk about grassroot level is a whole load of crap.We never had any grassroot structure. How can you blame the PCB for nepotism when it is something which exists in school cricket in Pakistan? I never got a chance in my school team due to favoritism and when I used to play against my family I was a really good cricketer. It also debunks the myth that only rich people and those with connections get chances. There are always advertisements about talent hunt, blah blah, this and that etc but have you ever seen some player flourished from there? Sports Teachers in Pakistan schools have their own favourites and would only select who are their chamchas.I was a top player when I used to play in Canada club level but due to suffering from favouritism I have stopped playing cricket now and I am only interested in football because everyone gets a chance in that.In cricket even if they play you,They won't let you bat and during bowling they would set you in a defensive field completely minimizing your participation in cricket
