Hello,

It is quite evident that the Pakistan cricket team is below mediocre. Now, lets do something about it as fans instead of looking for excuses. The main issue is that we are not producing quality players any more. We are stuck with below average players such as Imad Wasim, Hafeez, Shahzad, Wahab, Sarfaraz etc. The whole lot are crap, I am wondering why I started to list them to be honest. Like, how is that we have not been able to replace the likes of Hafeez and Malik who are not great and they have played cricket for over 15 years. We tend to recycle rubbish players again and again. How is it possible that Azhar Ali was dropped a few months ago but selected now? Does that make sense? If i was working and my firm sacks me, they will not recruit me 2 months later...so the whole PCB is a farce.

Now what we can do?

We need to improve our domestic cricket. We need to model it on the Australian system where less team play and the focus is on quality. We need to have city franchises at domestic level and promote them. Moreover, we need to pay our domestic players well so more youngsters take up the sport. Additionally, I encourage that we build cricket enters in every major city in Pakistan with high quality coaches who focus on the new generation of cricketers. Lastly, we need to stop using lack of cricket in Pakistan as an excuse as the South Africans re-entered cricket in the early 90s with a top side.

How? Well, sack Sethi and his gang. I can not believe people actually like this chap. How can a journalist run PCB? We all know how he got this position. We need a top business CEO running PCB as a business with our legendary players taking important positions.

We need to raise our voices to make a difference. A nation of nearly 250 million deserves a better cricket team. No moaning on PP will make a difference. This whole system needs to be thrown in the bin and we need to start again. I do not believe that Pakistanis do not protest! I would protest outside the PCB head office for accountability.

Absolutely nothing. Trust me when I say this. We've made such threads over and over again after every single defeat but the fact of the matter is, Pakistan is run by a bunch of ignorant, corrupt fools and the cricket board is only a reflection of the country itself. Gone are the days where teams would simply survive on the basis of talent. Talent only gets you so far.

The PCB is only headed in the same direction as though of the country, and quite frankly, there is nothing we can do about it. Coming back to your question, what can we do? For starters, stop supporting Pakistan cricket. Pick a better team, I'm going with Ireland.

You mention we havent be able to replace rubbish players like Hafeez, Azhar, shezi etc.. the reason why? Because we dont give other players a chance or a proper run in the side. Id rather we go into the 2019 world cup with a fresh team of players and lose and get hammerings then take a team of has beens that have shown know improvement in over a decade of playing international cricket.

Sadly those in charge feel the need to persist with same players based on "experience" and "domestic scores" rather than actually picking player who are suited to the format etc..

Pakistan ODI cricket is a lost cause and has been for 10 years now!

It's not going to make a difference. They simply don't care. You're just going to tire yourself in the scorching Lahore heat with people mocking you and laughing at you instead of showing signs of solidarity. - However, if you actually go ahead with this, I'm with you. Count me in.

I say be done with cricket. Switch to football and supporting Real Madrid. You won't be disappointed.

I would do it honestly but unfortunately I do not live in Pakistan.

Trust me it takes one person to stand up, the rest will slowly follow. Even if someone starts the movement on social media and then takes it from there. Like PP has such a big support base and it can be utilised.

This performance is pathetic and we do need to stand up collectively. We can simply put up with this rubbish any longer.

I swear we've kept repeating this since debuting on PP.

100,000+ posts (you) + 39,000+ posts (me) and we're still here. :))

Exactly, venting makes no difference. We need to think about practically making a difference.

Like you, the majority of PP'ers don't live in Pakistan however, realistically speaking, even if they did and even if thousands of people showed up at the gates of PCB, it would not an inch of a difference. This is a huge mafia run by crooks and thieves. All hope IS lost.

Give tournaments like the PSL and Pakistan cup sometime to mature, they are both in their infancy but are going the right way, Pakistan will produce better cricketers in the future, not just by next week.

Its gone beyond anoying now, the fact we cant move on from same rubbish players means team will never go forward!

Didn't go so well in India did it? And just after they decide to clean house you want to install some fat cats?
Didn't the business elite already ruin enough in Pakistan? What's wrong with an honest public administrator?
Or is it just that when the guy is in charge is a businessman we don't even care about honesty?

Wait till the next squad is selected. Half the "rubbish" players you mentioned in the OP will still be in it. Frankly speaking it weren't for PSL we would have never had Sharjeel, Shadab or Hasan in the side. Our selectors are utterly pathetic at identifying and nurturing talent. In my opinion domestic cricket isn't as big of an issue as non-meritorious selections.

Mark my words, Inzi will pretty much select the same squad for the SL series with just a couple of changes.

Guys this is my first post in this forum :)
India vs Pak always exites me but since last two years not much interesting.
In my view there is nothing wrong with pakistan team; all they need is to play matches frequently with top teams to get confidence and not to change team stick to 15-17 for long term.
If india & pakistan play bilateral series then with couple of wins confidence and self belief will be back.
For pakistan team it need a start which they are not able to get, the more they play with india it will be good for pakistan cricket which can grow strength to strength very quickly (handling pressure and hunger to sucessed to be superstars).
