I saw something similar in the Black Lives Matter Protests. Some Instagram models were going to the rallies, getting a picture taken, and leaving.

I guess people do it to to appear woke.

The ideology of far left has fully crept into the Western world. You have to support their actions. Otherwise you will be considered racist or inhuman. So every little known celebrity will go and take pictures with protestors. When the pictures appear on social media, they will get a virtual certificate that they are not racist anymore or they care for the poor etc.
