Endemic rape culture of India

Paxstani here got too hurt from the grooming gang news that came up recently. 😔

Mistreatment of women in anyway shape or form is evil, perpetrators should be punished mercilessly...
Then why is it such an endemic issue in India? What is about the society that just accepts it, no outcry or any particular action from the government?

I don't know much about the endemic rape culture in India, I can only go by the statistics. Which is why asked you to bring out the rape stats .. to see how much of a menace rape is in India compared to other countries like say the UK or US.
Why is not a focus for you as an Indian? Thats what I want to dig into.

It is not at all. You will find government launching inquiries etc... I gave you the example of the rapist policeman.

Where is the similar action by the Indian government? Has there been a national inquiry?

I have no problem with questioning the lack of an inquiry into this issue.

But to say that this endemic to (of a particular area/people) India when you neither are willing to provide any comparisons to other countries' "gangrape and murder rates" is completely disingenuous.

What's the stats of rapes in India compared to US, and UK ?. Or where does India rank in the world ?.

Typical. Like I said. go and find the stats for yourself and start a comparison thread.

This a thread about why the rape culture is endemic in India with a theme of gang rape and murder. What are the causes of this and why is this an acceptable part of society. It becomes normalised and acceptable when the government doesn't think its an issue and there is no inquiry to find the root causes and develop strategies to deal with it.

So some other countries could be worst than India, I want to talk about the protection of women all over the world a rape by a Pakistani grooming gang is same as a Rape occurring in India, aka crime against females.

So what are the stats, since rape is the point of discussion here. Let's talk about it.

Now don't go running away, I await your detailed statistical reply to my reply..

Without comparison to some gold standard, how do you know something is an endemic or not ? Use your tiny brain, for once.

So you are suggesting that this is not an issue? This attitude gives us a glimpse as to why this endemic issue is not being tackled.

You are still avoiding the question about statistics. Compare these four countries for the year 2023 please - US, UK, India and Pakistan. I need to confirm if it really is an endemic.

Then we can seek solutions for the problem.

There is a separate thread to deal with that.

This is a thread to direct the endemic rape culture which has a particular theme of gang rape and murder. Do you have any meaningful insights as to why this is not being tackled by India.

The feeling I get from reading the responses here is that despite knowing there is an issue, everyone is in denial, which makes it a normalised acceptable part of Indian society. Why?

So in other words, this is what you are saying;

You are butt hurt from the humiliation of the Pakistani grooming gang issue which is targeted at your community so you have to counter with an India related thread of a similar issue. You don't really care about women's safety it's just basically you trying to score a goal of your own.

End of the day always remember there are no Indian, Sri lankan or Chinese grooming gangs in the UK. But citizens of UK have major concerns with Pakistani grooming gangs congrats on another marvellous achievement by the British Pakistanis👏

Also who is in denial there are major crime issues on women in India like rape, murder, harassment it's a plane fact no one has denied it. Ofcourse I want the perpertrators to be punished and women to be safe not just in India all over the world.

You started this thread, pushing your narrative based on your imagination but others should find the data for you?

Is this serious or a parody? There were disturbing cases in India and the outcry from general public has been huge with new laws even being mage. This is just as similar to UK where rape crimes are happening and there is a lot of public outcry.

In your imaginative world, rapes may be endemic to a region but data doesn't showcase that. Percapita of rapes per 100,000 in Pakistan and India are similar. So, what are your on about?

Its actually more concerning that laws are being made in Pakistan on child marriages (still opposed by religious groups) but atleast in India, sex with under 18 aged girl is considered marital rape even under marriage.

Going by this, can one claim that why is child marriages endemic to Pakistan? Or the infamous ‘bacha baazi’ thing among few ethnic group?

As expected most of your post is obfuscation. The slightly relevant part at the end, if its not an accepted part of society then where is a national inquiry to deal with this?

Bharat will do a national inquiry when is deemed fit to do so, can you give the percentage of rapes happening in India and how much it increased year by year since independence..

From a credible source ofcourse, I want to know the stats of the supposed epidemic.

This is a thread about the endemic rape issue in Indian society and not a comparison site. There are threads about other countries and you can post in those if you wish.

No wonder this endemic rape issue flourishes, from what I can see is denial that an issue exists and worse still trying to shut down the debate by suggesting that we are as same as everyone else. This is the mysogenistic behaviour that entrenches and trivialises the endemic rape issue. Then no wonder there has never been a national inquiry to deal with this as far as I am aware. Indian women should then continue to suffer these horrific crimes because Indian men don't think its a particular problem that needs dealing with a root and branch approach

When will it be deemed fit in your opinion? When someone you know is affected. Or are these girls from a particular subset of society that no one really cares about so all fair game. Is that so?

Stats for post 95 please.

Thanks
So you have no meaningful contribution in as to why the endemic rape culture is normalised and why the government is not launching a national inquiry? I am just hypothesising here, but is because the majority of the victims are from a particular subset of society?

Stats please, all I am hearing from you now is fluff..

Thanks

I will leave this in here for those in denial about the endemic Indian rape culture....

Andhra Teen 8 Months Pregnant After Being Raped By 14 For 2 Years

A 15-year-old girl in Andhra Pradesh was repeatedly raped by 14 men over two years and has now been admitted to the hospital after she was found to be pregnant.

Hyderabad:
A 15-year-old girl in Andhra Pradesh was repeatedly raped by 14 men over two years and has now been admitted to the hospital after she was found to be pregnant.

The girl, who was first sexually assaulted when she was in Class 8 was attending school through the abuse till two months ago, when she was studying in Class 10, the District Superintendent of Police V Ratna told NDTV.

Belonging from the Scheduled Caste community, the girl was threatened and blackmailed by the accused. She was living with her mother.

Ms Ratna said a probe will be launched into why the girl's pregnancy, now in its eighth month, was not detected.

This is so sad.
I have worked with few Indians and they appear normal around you but when you get to know them more they have such disgusting mentality. I felt dirty just being in the same room. They think so cheap of women. It’s a norm to call women the B word. Which shows in this normal rape culture that’s endemic in India.
