Deschamps needs to be booted out as early as possible - starting with Giroud as spearhead and Matidi as left wing!!!!!! This French team had Lemar, Dembele, Fekir, Griezmann, back home Coman, Martial, Payet, Ben Yedder ....... and he is starting Matuidi as left wing!!!!!

I would expect clear margin: 2-0 or 3-1 today, but might end 0-0!!!!!

He is a yes man of FFF, otherwise should have lost his job after EURO; Wenger was free as well. Today, 90% of Peru's attack were through the left side, which is covered by Pavard.

Matuidi not substituted yet . I have lost count of the number of times he has been dispossessed or beaten by pace. Carrilo has kept him in his pocket through out.

The kind of attacking talent this french team has on the pitch, on the bench and sitting at home, they should be wracking up atleast 2-3 goals every game and should be a nightmare for any defence but here they are huffing and puffing to victories against minnows.

Peru didn't deserve to leave so early. They were 12th ranked team in world before the WC, arguably played better than both Denmark & France.

Won't be surprised if France plays 2nd XI is next game to lose to Denmark and end as 2nd!!! The way WC is shaping, it might happen that Germany, Spain, Brazil, Belgium & Argentina in one half of route to Final - the half that Group C winner will be!!!

I think this will end a draw. Argentina's defence is too flaky, and Croatia have the players to punish the lapses. Argentina have plenty of flair going forward, but scoring goals is still tough, and if you give them away too easily, it's not easy to stay ahead of the game.

Argentina is vertically challenged big time today - apart from GK, none in starting XI is even 6'0" (highest actually 5'11"), and most of them are around 170-175CM (5'7" to 5'9").

Bitterly disappointed by Argentina´s showing this tournament. They look disinterested, disorientated, non-threatening and, well, just absent all the while. Due to Messi they were my second favourite team (after Germany of course), so I´m badly hurt by them. Messi himself hasn´t done anything, anything of note.

Had always been a big supporter of Croatia since 14 years now, like their style and the way they play. Although, as a rarity, I wasn´t supporting them yesterday, but I´m very happy for them at their success. Here´s hoping they go beyond just the Round of 16.
