Of the 32 countries, I have to say Panama is the worst team. Tunisia’s defense is in shambles, but that could be because of change in management. Tunisia actually was highest rated (21) African team at the start of this WC. That was because of fantastic performance in last 3/4 years under Kasperczak, Krol & Leeckens; this local guy came last year, took Tunisia to WC, but their defence has let 7 goals in 2 games in a tight WC!!!!

Panama is overall a much inferior team and unfortunately both Tunisia & Panama got into same group hence along with Group A, this is the only group where 2 teams are eliminated after 2 rounds of game (that A group also had Saudis & Mo Salah less Egypt). Panama actually qualified from a massive upset - they lost to USA 4-0, but by then Costa Rica & Mexico both qualified & they played dirty with USA - fielded substandard teams against Panama & Honduras in last 2 games which they won. For USA, they somehow managed to lose their last game against an experimental T&T team (they were already out, hence Coach introduced several young players for experience) side, conceding an own goal as well, which put them at 5th on table even behind Honduras, who later lost to Aussies in play offs.

USA is a far better team than several countries playing in this WC. 3-0 already in 35 minutes😩

True, but Belgium only managed 3 we have 4 now :akhtar maybe we can get 10 here ?

Panama are rubbish and have no interest in playing football. But credit to my boys. Ruthless and playing with no fear.

Panama are really challenging Tunisia here for the best Free Style Wrestlers of the tournament award

If England win by a 10 goal margin they would have broken the record for biggest margin of victory in a World Cup, Hungary's 9 vs South Korea in 1954 is still the record. Will be tough to maintain this pace but it is still a possibility.

Beautiful headlocks, armbars and hiptosses. Auditioning for the main event at Summerslam.

:)) They are trying to get Vince's and Dana White's attention, don't see them making a living from playing football beyond this tournament

I think, there are 2 more 9 goal margins - Yogoslavs beating Zaire 9-0 in 1974 & Hungary again 10-1 against El Salvador in 1982.

10-0 is possible - half way through at the break.

Markhor you should support this team, they are a lot more humble compared to the past entitled drama queens and while the fans behaviour could always improve, it's better then the 70s, 80s and 90s there are still bad apples but plenty of fans who are civil as well

Need to cause some more panic, Panama seem to have settled. Otherwise see a 7 goal margin, which would still be terrific; what is England's biggest margin at a World Cup ?

MMHS Mamoon Harry Kane can potentially score the most goals in a World Cup since Brazilian Ronaldo's 9 in 2002 ! he has 5 to his name as it stands. 13 by Frenchman Just Fontaine in 1958 may be beyond his reach but he can challenge it if we progress past the QF and am feeling confident :afridi

Fat Ro probably scored 8 in 2002. Kane can indeed add 4 more, but for that England has to play 7 games (make SF). From now on he’ll face tighter defense.

Fontain’s 13 might not be broken ever - Football has moved from high scoring era to tight defense. 1954 WC had average of like 5.5 goals/game; 1958 had around 4.5 - now we are stuck around 2.5. Had VAR not awarded several penalty, this year that average could have been close to 2. Also, football has moved to all round game where scoring is shared by 3/4 attacking players (many managers don’t even use dedicated scoring forwards, rather play false 9) - Fontain was a perfect targetman and entire French tactics was to feed him in box. He scored 13 in 6 games. Kane is 23; might break Gerd Muller’s WC record of 14 goals.

My mistake- forgot Klose scoring 16 & Fat Ro 15 in WC.

Good win. Can't wait for the knockout rounds.

Want Rashford to start ahead of Sterling. Sterling doesn't seem to be in good form. Also Young should be replaced by Rose who is better defensively and is an actual defender.

1-1 now, but the defending from Japan was comical for the first goal. Embarrassing to see it at this level.

Expecting a good game here. The loser will be out so essentially a knockout game. Don't think a draw would be a good result for either.

An outstanding atmosphere! absolutely electric ! you can never doubt the passion of Colombians. When they find their rhythm look unstoppable and relish the support, beautiful assist from Rodriguez there they are 1 up, just need one more to get a point:dw

Both Poland and Colombia really going for it.

Brilliant atmosphere - really enjoying the way Colombia are passing the ball at a good tempo and using the flanks really well.

Colombia have milked the partisan crowd and have been sensational in the second half. Poland meanwhile have been awful in both of their matches in this tournament, and here have made Colombia look a bit better than they actually are.

Colombia 3-0 Poland FT

Yes, Colombia have been sensational.

Wow how poor were Poland. They have some talented players in their team but they have massively disappointed in this tournament.

I thought Japan played really well yesterday. Fought tooth and nail. Really liked the spirit that they played with. Would´ve loved to see them win.

Poland disappointed big time. They themselves must be fully aware of how far more capable they were than they showed.
