The Great? Sorry to say but so far he is acting like Kid. Especially after Mathews wicket![]()
You mean Perera coz he actually patted Mathews on the back after he was dismissed.Disgusting behaviour when Perera was dismissed for sure.

Good win
SL is a fairly weak team but credit where credit is due.
It was a battle of a weak teams but some key knocks under pressure helped India win. Pujara, Rahul, Rahane and good bowling by Ishant and Ashbin
Pathetic display of antics from Kohli and Ishant on field. Learn to maintain some standards or else will look like a tool if you have lost it.
India's batting looks more fragile than a glass.. Not really sure what has gone so wrong

I think India should remain humble, their next series is against SA, who are best overall team as they haven't lost a series for a while now & players like Amla, De Villiers and Duminy are great against spin.

Is this a joke?
It has looked much better than SL overall. the conditions have not been easy. SL pacers have not been too bad except Chameera.
and this despite 2 openers been out injured during the series!
no one actually stood out. even Rohit Sharma has contributed!

If it weren't for Indian tail showing spine, India would have been crushed
Their top order looks rubbish even in familiar conditions.. Years ago India was a juggernaut in Asian conditions. That's no longer the case
I have a feeling series against SA will not go well for India
India's batting against spin looks pretty woeful as well.. SA has at least 2-3 players who can counter spin.. India on the other hand will struggle against Tahir
Needless to say the reverse swing of Steyn.. It will be lot more difficult series compared to SL
Did someone just say Duminy is great against spin?
South Africa actually revived the declining career of Harbhajan around 2010-11, giving him plenty of wickets home and away! no other team comes close except SL incidentally. he was bad against Aussies then, imagine!
weird, isn't it?
that gives me confidence that SA's spin playing prowess is not as great as everyone claims. and India should beat them in couple of tests in this series through spin alone.
Kohli can win games but can never win hearts and become idol for millions like MS Dhoni. Atleast in my eyes.

Let Kohli captain overseas in places like Aust, NZ and Eng. Then we can access.Dont care as long as he's winning games.
MS Dhoni's test captaincy post 2011WC is some of the worst i've ever seen and wasn't half the test player Kohli is/can be. Kohli's leadership has infused some freshness to the team.
I dont get my fellow countrymen's obsession with 'well behaved' players like SRT,Dravid,Kumble,Dhoni etc. Not everyone needs to be the same. Kohli is cocky and that aggression helps him.
The problem is apart from Pujara, India hasn't got any very good player of spin themself.

MSD was a fantastic skipper at home. Post 2011 WC how many tests India played at home? He was unlucky in that sense as he played 2 series in Eng, 2 in Aust, 1 in NZ, 1 in SA in a span of 3 years. No captain played so many back to back overseas series.
Apart from England series, he did not lose a single one at home. Whitewashed Aust and WI.
Yes, he had issues overseas but we need to wait to see how Kohli does when India tour abroad. Might be a longer wait as India is scheduled to play only at home for now.

Honestly I am disappointed with India's batting. If this is how they fare against a weak SL side, imagine how Oz and SA would rip them apart.

First of the many series wins in 'The Kohli Era'

Can't believe that people calling Dhoni a Loser![]()

Even hard-core Indian fans would agree that Dhoni was a weak test captain with the luxury of having the greatest Indian batting line-up in history to back up for it.
Kohli is easily better.
the exaggerations in your post are seriously GROSS

Wining hearts is not objective. Nice people end up last. Which was what happened with India in past.
Dishing out back what was dished in past to India and India took it quitely did not make India win any games.
This is first series win under Kohli. This has got India 2-1 win...although if DRs was there it would be 3-0
Basically you cannot be a nice guy and win lots.
Sachin was nice guy, but did he win lots? No
Ponting was not a nice guy well not really bad either but look at his win record
Basically if opposition players are getting riled up on loosing, you are doing something right
What exaggerations?
the part that is bold...
I saw that but how is that an exaggeration? Sachin, Dravid, Laxman, Sehwag etc did form the best Indian batting line up ever.

the part that Dhoni was a weak test captain...Indian fans should realize their misery in cricket is related to how weak their bowling has been, nothing to do with the batting or the captain, to win tests you need 20 wickets.
India rose to #1 under Dhoni when these players had not yet begun their terminal decline. During 2011 when India's slide started, India no longer had a good batting lineup. Between 2011-2013 we were full of aging seniors and between 2013-2015 we were full of inexperienced youngsters. Kohli now has a much better team where the youngsters who played under Dhoni have now become more experienced.
Its a contest of who is more lamer when it comes to batting.![]()
Bowling was made look bad due to horrible catching throughout the NZ, England and Australia.
No one has highlighted that! except one catch of Cook in England.
Kane Williamson was dropped repeatedly by India first , and then SL when they toured NZ in every format.
not one so called cricket fan mentions that.
but they have a major issue against tailenders , definitely.
Batting has had enough collapses. tests in Australia and Durban test before that are some of the occasions!
bowling can't be blamed if batting fails in good batting conditions.
Just want Kohli vs MSD and Che vs Rohit dies down!
Every player has their own flair, just because you don't like certain flair, doesn't make other flair evil. Every players play to win.
don't watch India games so no idea about their dropped catches. Every time I've seen them play though the bowlers have been sub par
why is Dhoni getting such excuses to hide his mistakes? Ganguly and Dravid had no such luck! what a shame!
they were kicked out or made to resign? isn't it?
only Mathews and Chandimal scored runs, followed by Sanga and Herath, neither got a 50.
every Indian got runs at some point or the other in the series, even those 3 injured players got good crucuial scores.
Can you say the same about other Srilankans?
I find the undermining ridiculous now.
Aussies themselves won't bat properly in those conditions anyway. Atleast SA has Amla and AB!
MSD had flair? 10 years ago. maybe.
the man never faced humiliations and criticisms that Ganguly/Dravid suffered in their tenures.
he was a world cup winner after all. Ganguly and Dravid were WC losers (I have heard this from a Dhoni fan. not my words).
hence, his incompetency in tests as captain is forgiven!
I want to see how many Indians deny this. I have seen this logic mentioned on this forum as well.
Aussies are considered a joke in Asia anyways.
The Great Kohli era has begun.
I feel for you if you feel sad about it because this is gonna stay.
The Great Kohli era has begun.
I feel for you if you feel sad about it because this is gonna stay.
He did not ?
I will let the Tendu fan brigade on this thread answer that for you .
Kohli is gonna surpass Tendu.
Yes. Kohli > Tendu as per freelance.
Then you haven't been paying attention. Tendulkar's the greatest player that has ever lived.
Then you haven't been paying attention. Tendulkar's the greatest player that has ever lived.

Do you think Kohli can surpass him?
So are you saying kohli is inferior to tendulkar and by that logic kohli's era would be inferior to tendulkar's era?![]()
