My reel feed is bombarded with flat earth theory videos. I am sick and tired of it all. It appears to me that millions believe the Earth is a flat disc, with the North Pole at its center and Antarctica forming a wall of ice around its outer edge. The Sun and Moon are believed to be relatively small and orbit in circular paths above the flat Earth, illuminating different sections to create day and night. Stars are thought to be further above, possibly within a dome or firmament. Since the advancement of AI, I now see many fake videos of flat earth all over the internet.

Why do people believe in a scientific disproven concept. Does religion say anything on this topic?

Why do people believe in a scientific disproven concept. Does religion say anything on this topic?

There are two arguments against flat Earths:

1. Simple: Stand on a beach and watch a boat or ship sail. If it is sailing away from you then you will see the hull disappear and then the rest of the ship including the mast (top part) disappears last. If the Earth was flat then the whole ship would disappear at once and not in pieces! In the picture take a look at a person looking at 3 separate ships from the shore, why do they appear like this if the Earth is flat?​
2. Complex: When Iran fires ballistic missiles at Israel it follows a curved path as it falls back on Earth. Hyper-sonic glide vehicles follow a curved path along the Earth. If Earth was flat, these missiles will miss their targets. If the person firing the missiles assumed that the Earth was flat then all missiles would target!​
