Chaman border checkpoint and immigration post was attacked by Protesters and Afghan Border Patrol. In the ensuing melee 3 people died and thousands managed to cross into Pakistan without clearance. Expect terrorist attacks in Pakistan to spike up.

Four killed, 19 injured in violent clashes at Chaman border

Four people were killed and at least 19 injured in clashes between protesters and security forces at the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Chaman on Thursday, officials said.

According to Levies officials, hundreds of protesters belonging to the All Parties Traders Union had been staging a demonstration at Friendship Gate against the border’s closure for the past two months.

The protesters, today, reportedly forcibly removed the barricades placed in the area surrounding the gate and attempted to cross the border. Furthermore, they allegedly set fire to computers at a National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) office for border management, about a 100 containers belonging to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) as well as tents and offices at a quarantine centre nearby.

Security forces fired aerial shots to disperse the protesters. Additional troops of the Frontier Corps and Levies were also summoned to quell the protest.

Afghan forces opened unprovoked fire on civilians at Friendship Gate Chaman: FO

Afghan forces opened unprovoked fire on innocent civilians gathered towards Pakistan’s side of the international border at the Friendship Gate Chaman.

In a statement on Friday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui said that Pakistan troops deployed on the posts were also simultaneously engaged by Afghan posts.

She said Pakistan troops responded to protect our local population and acted only in self-defence. It is reiterated that Pakistan Force did not open fire first and responded in self-defence only.

She said, to de-escalate the situation, the Pakistan side immediately activated both military and diplomatic channels and it was after hectic efforts that the firing was stopped from Afghan side.

The Spokesperson said that it must be noted that the borders with Afghanistan are opened for pedestrian movement and trade, upon the request of the Afghan authorities.

If Afghan army fires, should give them a good hiding and shut the border. No restraint against Afghans.

What's up with the Afghans? Why are they so ****** off with Pakistan?

Aghans are renowned to have a complex and can be racist. Ofcourse, this is not all of them. They have no accepted the durrand line when pashtun like myself want nothing to do with them.

Afghans most of the life enjoyed life in Pakistan, but now certain rules are made for them and especially about border crossing, due to terrorists activities. But they are not liking all those rules e.g they dont want to come to Pakistan Legally.

Let's see how Mamoon and Loralai are going to blame STATE :)

First we take in their people then send them food though our borders. As Mubashar Luqman says teach them a lesson by blocking the supplies.

At least 5 killed, several injured in Chaman blast

The injured have been shifted to civil hospital Chaman. A contingent of police officials arrived at the Mall Road to conduct an investigation into the blast.

Its time we should close our borders with Afghanistan permanently.

With underdeveloped countries where literacy is still low, concepts of Islamic brotherhood would keep people on respectful terms. When the religious ties are broken, then you will see the old racism and tribal complex return, often stoked by larger players who see benefit in proxy wars among neighbours.
