Game of Thrones
We had one fight only :13: It was worth it though, sent a shiver down my spine. :23:

Sad ending.

I thought of watching an episode of GOT again, thought i would just fast forward stuff and relive the best scenes. But once it started, i didn't press a button at all and watched the whole damn episode till the end , LOL :23:

That's how good it is.

Hahahaha i do the same exact thing.....Ive probably watched Season 1 three times...

What's wrong with Daenerys? Hanging out with the Dothrakis and Dragons :23: Wont be surprised to see her sleeping with a White Walker next season. LOL

Next Season is gonna be a 4-way shootout between the families for the throne.....

Daenerys got dragons and other fine assets, :asif so i wouldn't bet against her and she also commands 40,000 Dothrakis

can't wait for her to set the sails towards the throne :akhtar

Gooo Arya and Jon Snow!!! Easily my fav characters.. ofcourse only since Ned Stark was killed :(

Wish list for season 2-

White walkers show up.
No homo from Kings gay brother.
Joffrey gets his bottom kicked hard for what he did to Ned.
Jon Snow gets the respect he deserves, enough with the B**tard thing. He's my main man.
Daenerys starts hanging out with humans :23:
The whole kingdom gets to know the stuff Cersei has been doing :p
Arya stays safe.

Wait a minute, did'nt the whole of the Dothraki clan leave Daenerys after Khal Drogo's death? They mentioned something like "the clan must keep moving" and she was only left with a few followers.

Also does anyone know if there is going to be a rerun of the first season on SKY before the second one starts?

Only the pimpin Dothrakis have left Daenerys, the good guys are still with her.

Another one :D

The character arcs in the books are nothing but literary brilliance. The main character is killed off, the good guys become the bad guys, and we come to respect the bad guys.

It turned the way fantasy used to be written upside down. No more "good v evil" but everyone a shade of grey.

I thought the show would struggle. Then I heard HBO. Then the casting. Thankfully, the show has lived up to the books admirably. Cannot wait for S2. I hope the internet is ready for soe serious torrenting. lol

Spot on analysis pinger. I'll never forgive him for killing off Ned the way he did. But then he goes and does worse...much worse. Hard to put my feelings into words about this author, but thats probably what makes him so great.

All my friends that are Harry Potter fans used to ask me, "what is it that you want from the series? Its so awesome." Now that they've read ASOIAF, they dont ask me that anymore.

Cheers mate, when I was read it I was like "This bloke don't mess around, he is willing to throw away the character we are most emotionally invested in like an old tissue. This is gonna get GOOD!"

You have to completely put away your conception/misconception in some cases of good and evil, and concentrate instead on the characters history, and what has happened to them to understand them fully. Once you do and you get the back story he can flip characters on you in a second. Your most loathed can become your most respected.

Once he's done it to you a couple of times you start to think you know where you are and then BANG, he did you again. It's keeps you interested and makes you read the history/backstory stuff really closely. Great, layered writing.

I swear. I've read up on what happens to some of my favourite characters thus far and it's like "why would you do that, man?".

I'm almost finished reading A Clash Of Kings at the moment, this season will be ridiculously good. As far as I can tell though, GRRM hasn't jumped into the 'Ice' part of the series just yet - but I suppose that's what the next book is for.

People watching the show are going to be wondering where the heck the White Walkers are and what ever happened to Benjen Stark for a long while. But then again, the show is different and GRRM has apparently outlined the ending to the producers so maybe they'll bring these things in earlier.

Also, this:

I finished reading book 5, A dance with Dragons, quite alot of MASSIVE cliffhangers. Have to wait 2-3 years for the next book now :(

I have to say that season 2 will be amazing and that season 3 will be even better and the best out of them all.

Was just wondering whether anyone can clarify whether season 2 consists of the first part of book 3?

17 days still to go! cant waittttttttt. Hope joffrey gets his behind kicked.

Check this out guysss :D

Unbelievable show.

Finished the season in two days! Way too addicting.

Episode 9 was just...

http://i53.tinypic.com/6stbaf.gif[img]
That pretty much summed up my weekend lol. Once I started, I just had to finish all the episodes and at the right time too as season 2 is about to premier in 6 days!! :farhat

This show really is a masterpiece.

didnt know this thread existed
what a programme

tryion lannister is some character

it just reminds me of games like fire emblem and fire fantasy...just awesome

Awesome show and looking forward to its return. Only shame is the gratuitous nudity that are trademark of all HBO shows (e.g. Boardwalk Empire). It seems that all actresses have to take their ki offt at least once during the season. I read somewhere that a young actress quit the show while on set when asked to disrobe during the second season. Guess she hadn't seen the first season!

Can't wait.

I heard it has a much bigger budget now.

Means we might actually get to see some real battles!

Season 2 will cover Book 2 and i think its the right move to have each season for each book.

Then this show will be over in a few years. Won't happen.

Season 2 may cover book 2, but something tells me book 3 may be S3 and S4, etc etc.

ONE.MORE.DAY.!!!!!!!

For those of you that live at home with your family, how are you going to catch the premier? It'll obviously have all that gratuitous nudity lol. I'll be heading over to a friends house who has a TV in his room as it's way too risky to watch it in the family room at home :yk

Found a little recap of season 1. Its 20 minutes long but pretty good and has previews of season 2 as well.

Will skip the whole season, I hate waiting a week for the next episode.

Will do a back to back marathon once the season ends, no sleep!!
Office sick forms here I come.

I want to do the same thing, but it'll be way too hard to resist.

The series, great at it is, pale in comparison to the books they were based on (A Song of Ice And Fire). At least the first three or four. The last was good but not great. But truly an epic series by George Martin. Shame it takes him years and years to finish each one.

It comes here tomorrow but pissed off that killed of Ned and Khal Drago both favorites of mine

This is my last post on this thread before the second season ends, no spoilers for me. Will watch the whole season once the last episode is aired.

All the best guys. Remember don't get frustrated once a character dies, its a TV show after all!!! Gulp.....

They introduce a lot of really cool characters to make up for it. Davos is pretty badass, and I hear Jaime redeems himself later on.

Also, Patchface.

Season 2 will cover parts of book 3, and season 3 will cover some parts of book 2 as well. But book 3 is pretty lengthy so two seasons for it still makes sense.

But by that same token, AFFC and ADWD would be combined into on season. No way will they ditch half their cast for a year.

If they do catch up to GRRM, I'm sure a miniseries on Robert's rebellion would hold viewers.

Books are much better... right now I am in 4th book... looking forward to reading 5th one... but this series is awsome...

Excited, should be class

Although watching them all in one go would be good, the chances of it being spoiled before that is not a risk worth taking

Good premier today. Loved the stark vs lannister scene. Peter Dinklage may well be the best actor on tv. But I do think the show is going to have trouble keeping up with all the different story lines. There is just too much going on in season 2 and it seems a bit cramped. The books had a nice, easy rhythm to them. Really part of the class of GRR Martin. But a tv show just doesnt give you enough time to cover all the necessary bases. Still enjoyed it.

Btw, Danerys' handmaidens...way hotter than Danny herself.

Awesome premiere! I thought it seemed a bit rushed though, anyone agree? It seemed to be going all over the place, perhaps it was due to the fact that there is too much to cover in that 1 hour slot. I hope things slow down from now on..

Tyrion is awesome!! such a boss

37 minutes into episode 1. Starting to appreciate Robb Stark's character. The guy is doing a good job.

Littlefinger had a narrow escape there. :))

Done !

Great episode man. Robert has left quite a hole to fill. I am already missing him.
