Gas safety in Pakistan?

Recently 2 of my relatives passed away in a domestic incident in Islamabad involving gas usage.

By all accounts there was an issue involving the gas supply to the house they were living in and they therefore had to use a gas canister. As they tried to use the gas canister it exploded resulting in them suffering horrific burns.

Is gas supply an issue even in cities like Islamabad who are supposed to be modern and up to date?

Really sad this.

Gas safety is non-existent in Pakistan.

People have gas tanks in the house or those who have sui gas, it's very likely that no inspections etc take place.

This is horrific and may Allah grant Jannat to them. Around 5 years ago In Bewal a young couple died on their wedding night as the gas cannister exploded. Beyond horrific

No safety standards or specs to really abide by. Cylinders is another level of danger but even gas supply into the house makes me nervous. Just a plastic tube running to the back of the heater.

I guess zero accountability too for those who are responsible for providing gas safely in Pakistan?

No standards. Always in fear as my family living in the village has been using gas cylinder for years. Its scary.

There is no education and no responsibility. The tragedy in Bewal was used a story about honour killing although it had nothing to do with any sort of foul play. If I remember correctly, it was also in the Daily Mail.
