"Getting category A, B, or C in Central Contracts does not matter to me" : Sarfaraz Ahmed

If you have a good technique you will always score runs baring bad form. Chaderpaul actually had a good technique it just looks different but all basics are covered. He never played across the line, he got forward when needed and went right back when needed plus his technique afforded him a rock solid defense.

In short if you have a good technique you will always score runs.

So if you have a poor technique you wont score runs yeah in short ?

You will score runs but statistics say you will score more if you have a good technique. Even the best player with poor technique Sehwag didnt score many runs in the 3 countries where you require technique most - ENG - SA - NZ.

Anyway the point of the thread was Rizwan doesnt have a better technique than Sarfraz.

Sehwag struggled at home and away in england
Younis khan has ugly technique but he stil scored runs in england.

Prove it that he hasnt got a better technique than sarfraz stats show that hes slightly better and having played alot more tests

Younis technique is poor? I am not here to give batting lessons!

Scoring slightly more runs doesn't mean you have a better technique or small sample size. Sarfraz has played in all conditions lets see what Rizwan can do in the 3 countries where you need technique most.

Did you not see him on literally one leg against england jumping on one leg.i dont need you to give me batting techniques lol.

Hes average is 40+ against austrlia.

That was a temporary flaw go on youtube some of the best minds in the game has analysed younis technique and how he countered various conditions. That must have also been an attempt to counter something which didnt work he corrected it for last test and got a double again proof technique matters.

Australia is one place where you can just play on the backfoot and doesn't need to have good feet movement. The real challange comes in SA, NZ and ENG.

He correct it in less than 2 weeks wow he came in when he had runs on the board already and the ball wasnt swinging as much pluss it was at oval.

Are we really expecting Sarfaraz to replace Rizwan on this tour? Rizwan needs a clear run as Sarfaraz got so not fair on him

And now appointed captain of one of the practice squads - looks like Sarf on his way back at some point.

Will need to do more than 5 runs in an innings (as today) to make a comeback to the side - as a batsman even!

This could be an interesting tour for some of these experienced players.

Rizwan has already turned up the heat on Sarfaraz with a 50.

Will that expose the stupidity of selecting Sarf for the tour?

So Sarfaraz also in the 20 list for the Test series - not sure how he will fit in but guess as back up keeper for Rizwan.

I really hope this does not happen, but I can imagine a scenario where the batting collapses and the first one to fall victim is Fawad Alam. The management decide that the best option is to play Rizwaan as a specialist batsman and bring in the "experience" of Sarfraz. This will especially be the case if one or both of Shan and Abid fail, meaning that one of them is replaced by Imam at the top of the order and leaving no other replacement in the squad of 20 for the number 6/7 position.

Maybe he has realized he didn’t perform with the bat when he was the captain.

A fit and firing Sarfraz will always be better than Rizwan.
