Give this man a medal! For saying what most of us feel about Maulvis and Imams

From my observation, many posters on PP have immense reverence for molvis. A lot of them are overseas Pakistanis and in my opinion they base their opinions upon observing molvis/ulema living in the West who may have better character.

I guess they haven't had the chance to deal with a typical jaahil Pakistani molvi.

In a country like Pakistan, never mind the average man in the street, absolutely no one, not a politician, not a businessman, not a doctor, lawyer or any other professional, dares to question or challenge the outpourings of any maulvi, Imam, or peer, no matter how twisted the bile that is being spouted out.

The only ones who can challenge maulvis / imams / peers are other maulvis / imams / peers from a different faction, more often via hate speeches or by condoning (by their zealot followers) bombings of each others mosques, seminaries and homes.

State's authority is weak in Pakistan. People are living too freely. With little effort, mullahs can be contained. It is not as difficult as most people think.

same thing can be said about those living abroad that they have not had chance to deal with Jaahil doctors, engineering, teachers. professors etc.

The maulvis in the west are often the same breed, but over here they have to conform to British laws and culture, at least outside the mosque. Like with police, sanitation and driving standards, this is always administered from the top.

If you have jaahil maulvis stepping beyond their bounds in Pakistan, it's because the rule of law in general is too lax. Just compare with gulf Arab countries where you step out of line and the police will hit you like a truck.

Ataturk will be considered a Tyrant by all Muslims if his laws are implemented in Subcontinent.

He abolished things like Praying in Arabic, Islamic Veil, Islamic polygamy. Law based on European lines introduced. Also, you would have to give up your Arabic/Persian Alphabet and adopt the original Alphabet of Sindhi or Punjabi.

He was quite cooperative with the senussis
And also quite handy on the battlefield too

He also abolished janissaries, slavery and jihad
