With the ongoing issues in Pakistan involving Imran Khan, do you think the Pakistan Super League should be continuing?

Yes it has to continue. If our own players discontinue the tournament it will give international sides the perfect opportunity to cancel future tours. Despite the tension in the country nothing untoward has occurred so far that threatens the cricketers.

Despite the high tension in Lahore, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that the first playoff between Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will take place as scheduled.

The match is set to begin at 7 o'clock today.

On Tuesday night, the practice sessions of all four teams were canceled due to the tense situation in Lahore.

Shaheen-led Qalandars and Rizwan-led Sultans were scheduled to practice at the Gaddafi Stadium. At the same time, Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United were set to have their practice session at LCCA ground.

According to PCB sources, the board and security officials are closely monitoring the situation and have taken all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the players and officials.

Despite the tense situation, all arrangements for the match have been completed by the PCB.

The board has been working tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the playoffs and has taken all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of all those involved.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee chairman, Najam Sethi, on Tuesday appealed to CM Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, to provide adequate security to teams and fans for the upcoming playoffs of Pakistan Super League in Lahore.

International cricketers rightfully should cancel
Cricket was never safe to return here

What's happening is quite tame by Pakistani standard. And it's part of political posturing anyway.

It will keep happening till the general election. Keep playing. :sa

5 games out of 5 in Lahore were houseful before this Zaman Park stand off. Heard today's game was not sold out and given that this was a playoff, thats a shame

One of the commentators said it was a full house.

I think the mood and vibe in the stadium was quite downbeat.

Hopefully you’ll see the energy pick up in the next few games.

Lahore is not fit to host matches any longer for this season.

The PSL must be moved to Karachi.

No! Unless a cricketer/s has been attacked there is no threat to them. Touring teams should continue for the time being.

IK and his supporters are peace loving people , PSL matches will have no issue, just two to go. PTI's jalsa is on Sunday and final is now on Saturday , well done PCB.

It's obvious that the change has been made to allow arrest of Imran Khan on Sunday. However, weather will probably play a part.

It has rained heavily in Lahore and I am not sure if this will not have k nock-on effect on the schedule.

PSL should be moved away from Lahore perhaps. No need to postpone it; just move it to Karachi or something.

Its the political weather PCB is talking about , not good at Lahore .

its rainy season in Punjab. It rained today in Lahore.

Stop trying to make controversies out of everything.

Courts are closed on weekend, if imran is to be arrested he will be arrested on monday

Talking about arrests of innocent political opponents in humorous manner is a controversy in itself.

Your simplicity is actually amazing. Imran will be arrested when PSL is done.

Can you explain why IK wasn’t arrested Sunday??

Well it ended up being amongst the best PSL editions I reckon.

Had a bit of everything.

One major criticism though in my opinion was the pitches in Pindi.

Yes, good tournament overall. Maybe the size of the ground in pindi with the boundary pulled in more so than the pitches?
