Sorry stick cricket is not included in discussionThat 149 of 44 was ridiculous. West Indies must have been pondering why even bother taking a wicket if devillers was to come in at 3 lol

The only problem was that Afridi tried to replicate it every time he came out to batI definitely have to add Afridi's 37 ball 100. You can anyway slice or dice it. It was way ahead of time.

Hardly mate, with 9 overs from tendulkar, 120 overs with a runner, in relatively cool weather… that innings was incredible for its volume and little else.194 by Saeed Anwar in Chennai (Independence cup in 1997). My first live match experience.
Not meant to say it was the greatest ODI innings, I was implying that I have watched (took the title of the OP in literal sense) a live game where a batting world record was made (which stood for sometime, before it got broken).Hardly mate, with 9 overs from tendulkar, 120 overs with a runner, in relatively cool weather… that innings was incredible for its volume and little else.
Only reason that is slightly rated low is because he had a by runner in shahid afridi running for him for 32 overs. That is a massive advantageSaeed anwar's 194 and pointing 180 is underrated.
I don't think people know how absurdly difficult it was to het these scores in the one ball era
It still doesn't mean anything.Only reason that is slightly rated low is because he had a by runner in shahid afridi running for him for 32 overs. That is a massive advantage
Btw, the weather was anything but cool that day. It was right in the middle of Agni nakshatram (hottest for Tamilnadu) month.Hardly mate, with 9 overs from tendulkar, 120 overs with a runner, in relatively cool weather… that innings was incredible for its volume and little else.
That era indian bowling was a joke thoughIt still doesn't mean anything.
194 in that era is equivalent to a 260 score today.
It's unholy difficult to achieve that too against Indian bowling
I stand corrected. But the other statements hold. He pillaged runs off of Kumble in a single over otherwise kumble had very respectable returns prior to that.Btw, the weather was anything but cool that day. It was right in the middle of Agni nakshatram (hottest for Tamilnadu) month.

Greatest innings I have ever witnessed would have to be ijaz ahmed brutal knock 139 not out against India in 1997.
Terrific knock. What a pasting.
You have zero cricket knowledge today, so if you were around in 99, nothing has changed for you.I so wish I had the cricket knowledge that I have now back then in 99
Says the guy who claims to have seen Pollock bowlYou have zero cricket knowledge today, so if you were around in 99, nothing has changed for you.
I did, the most accurate bowler I ever saw. Him, McGrath and Ambrose.Says the liar who claims to have seen Pollock bowl
Bull….I did, the most accurate bowler I ever saw. Him, McGrath and Ambrose.
You exposed yourself when you claimed that Cullinan was a world class ODI batsman and McGrath bowled to Amla
I always wonder if you're being sarcastic on purpose or you just have internal hate and are trying to spite people, or you're being genuine, I can never tell?Sharjeel Khan's 152 against Ireland.
Those cuts, pulls and lifted drives will never be replicated, at least in Pak cricket
See, everyone has a favourite player.I always wonder if you're being sarcastic on purpose or you just have internal hate and are trying to spite people, or you're being genuine, I can never tell?
Fakhar's 193, 114 in ct, 91 of 46 against australia, fastest wc 100 by a pakistani?
Saeed Anwar 194 or any of his Indian bashing?
Ijaz Ahmed's axe man 140 of 87? Or his aussie exploits in test?
Yousaf's freqent not out centuries getting pak the win?
Inzi's bilateral performances?
Afridi's 100 of 37?
Razzaq's sa century?
Their like a billion better individual pakistani performances then Sharjeel 152 against Ireland?
Sharjeel performance was how a minnow should be treated, but it's still a minnow? It doesn't hold the sane weight as what fakhar did to NZ in a world cup and falhar batted at a higher sr then sharjeel did to top it off.
No hate on sharjeel, I loved watching him bat but .............?
That he was I 100% agree.See, everyone has a favourite player.
I too used to enjoy Sharjeel's batting a lot. In my opinion, after Saeed Anwar, he was the most destructive opener from Pak
Dang you have been to quite a few games across the globeI always wonder if you're being sarcastic on purpose or you just have internal hate and are trying to spite people, or you're being genuine, I can never tell?
