Not sure about Duckett, but it just might be a smart play by Brooks, in hindsight. After his 2 year ban, he’ll get several times more money than his base price in the IPL and he deserves to given his performances of late. After Ben buckett pulls out of ipl, there was an interesting analysis in sports today.it says Hales, Jason Roy, Gus attkinson, Brooks , Duckett every one pulled out on personal grounds after securing a near base price contract. Roy and Attkinson did it twice.overall its 8 players in 4 years. Franchises may be forced to keep away from the eng players especially at base price level ones.
I think Brook's case is different from other players. He was likely to become the England's captain and that was the most likely reason for him to pull back unlike the other players you mentioned in your comment. After Ben buckett pulls out of ipl, there was an interesting analysis in sports today.it says Hales, Jason Roy, Gus attkinson, Brooks , Duckett every one pulled out on personal grounds after securing a near base price contract. IPL doesn't need Brook, but Brook needed IPL to perform well in the recent World T20, where he failed except for an unexpected innings against Pakistan.Harry Brook doesn't need the IPL
The IPL needs Harry Brook![]()

He never performed anything in india. So he may get a chance later but it will be the deal breaker for him.Not sure about Duckett, but it just might be a smart play by Brooks, in hindsight. Brooks is an egoistic. He had scored a century after multiple failures(7/8 games at every position)in his maiden ipl stint. He went after the franchise fines for making fun of his price tag (16 crores)till then.Again after that century, he went out missing and ended up 8 or 9 avg for the season.Srh released him but he was brought at 20 percent of his initial stint price. There after he has never shown interest in ipl.unless he got a guaranteed a 15 crore tag again, i dont think he will play in ipl.I think Brook's case is different from other players. He’s young but still prodigiously talented. I’m pretty sure he’ll light up the IPL at some point - he’s way too talented not to.He never performed anything in india. So he may get a chance later but it will be the deal breaker for him.
Chances are he can, but he will never go for a big price because of what he did with SRH.He’s young but still prodigiously talented. I’m pretty sure he’ll light up the IPL at some point - he’s way too talented not to.
From what I recall Brook failed miserably in the IPL except for an unexpected innings where he scored a hundredIPL doesn't need Brook, but Brook needed IPL to perform well in the recent World T20, where he failed except for an unexpected innings against Pakistan.

That's why zero Ashes and india - England test series win at home or Away. From what I recall Brook failed miserably in the IPL except for an unexpected innings where he scored a hundred
Didn;t have any impact on his international performance. He only got better.
Cope harder

I think he will play Ipl only after he is successful in a test series in india. Before that he wont commend a good price by franchises and he wont mind to sit out untill he gets a hefty tag. He’s young but still prodigiously talented.
