What's new

Harry Brook versus Saim Ayub versus Yashasvi Jaiswal versus Rachin Ravindra - Who will rule the next decade of cricket?

Those were complete lottery type pitches, likely the first time in his life he had played on these pitches.

By the way, I didn't make up the issue with smog, it is something he stated himself.

If he has stated it about Multan, you can provide the quote here; otherwise, we can conclude that you are relying on cheap trolling once again.
He said smog in kolkata but he scored a 50 in one match. every where else he failed.abhishek sharma , samson , tilak, jamie smith etc newbies scored but he failed .it means he is lying and u r blinded by ur hatred than reason.

Next 6 months will decide what brook is. Is he a batsmen or ftb at best.ashes and t20wc will dictate his fortunes.am not sure when rachin will play against aus and sa at their home..thats an uktimatetest for any kiwi.If jaiswal can have a good tour of eng, his next major test will be aus tour for t20s and t20wc. Saim will have to do alot of catch up

One of the most overrated and flat tracks bully this BROOK never saw him adapt to a situation and play accordingly. Swinging the bat is not the answer for everything dude

:kp

Brooks is playing in his own home and seems really off.
Brooks is a gun talent. He is better then KP in test cricket in terms of pure talent.

Whether he surpasses KP or not, I do not know.

Jaiswal isnt close to Brooks in raw talent but due to indian backing and their excellent system vs a declining ecb system, Jaiswal will probs have a better career.

Even in t20 wc semis ,he did the same to kuldeep and got bowled. He don't have any defence to survive on spicy track.

To be honest all 4 of them have had a dip.

Harry Brook looks the best so far.

Currently Brook is leading the race with Jaiswal being 2nd and Rachin 3rd.

Saim hasnt even crossed the starting line.

Im assuming jaiswal will end up 1st though. Brooks is untested in conditons outside NZ, PK and England

Jaiswal played on the spiciest Australian surface in ages and finished as top run getter for India. Even with indifferent approach he made 2 centuries and one was match winning. ONly thing is Rohit is blocking his ODI spot unfairly. He should be playing T20 too. But we have Samson and ABhishek there.

Jaiswal scored soft runs in Australia. He did ok. Not great. We are not the old India anymore, a decent performance is expected from young emerging batters everywhere they go.

He failed in England. Averaging 40 in a series where there were so many runs to be scored.

But you have to consider he is an opener. You cannot treat him like a no.4 batsman. Different scale. This is his first time.

Saying avg 40 is a dishonest stuff.in reality its 411 runs for 10 innings. Few innings under overcast conditions. Really stupid was lords second innings. But he redeemed himself wonderfully with that final innings . Ball was doing something only for first 10 or 15 overs to effect openers at more extent than others on roads.

He is an opener and ball was doing most with new ball.

It was his first English tour and he scored over 400 runs. How many did Kohli score in his first English tour?

India doesn’t celebrate mediocrity in 2025. If he cannot dominate then he can go back to first class cricket and be back when he’s ready for international cricket.

By being the 9th highest run getter and having the 11th best batting average in the series, he’s not done any ehsan on Indian cricket team.

Jadeja and Sundar literally ended up with a better average than Jaiswal. Almost everyone outperformed him.

Rachin has the best ceiling, his performance if comes with a good Kiwi generation will definitely get them another ICC win.

I think rachin's test performance in Aus, sa, eng will decide .especially aus is the litmus test for kiwis. I think there is a 4 match series in aus for 26 summer.only kiwi batsmen, crowe, passed it with flying colours.

Saim Ayub is a nonentity. His one year purple patch is over.

Rachin-Jaiswal-Brook will all have good careers over the next decade.

Agree. Brooks likely will be somebody's bunny in the Ashes. Though he could surprise and have a good series. For sure he will have a miserable time in India.

I think that is where Jaiswal will pass Brooks. He has done fairly well in Aus and Eng. Will likely do better in future tours. Will have to see how he does in NZ and SA. Still untested there.

I find Brook the least talented amongst these, as of now he is a complete flat track Bully. He has made runs on Bazball pitches and Pakistani pitches. I don’t think he is gonna do much in Aus if they doll out pitches similar to BGT.

Aus will definitely roll out pitches with something atleast just a bit. They have the bowlers to exploit it.At this rate eng will lost in Perth, Adelaide for sure.Gabba second innings can be difficult for them. Mcg is a dead track .scg has to be spicy like Indian tour.As per cricinfo, Cummins may miss the opener.so they need to roll out spicy one as boland is not as good as cummins especially on batting wickets.

He has been successful in NZ where the pitches werent that flat. made 123 in seamer friendly conditions last year
Brook is bad vs spin but many times he looks a better player of seam and pace than root.
His form will decide the ashes

Brook will retire as a test ATG, he will reach the 10K run club with 30+ centuries

Saim Ayub has been a disappointment. He really should have done more as a batter. 4th among these guys and I don't see him ruling the world.

And many have been outperforming Gill for long time in tests including Jaiswal and in other formats like T20 Gill lags way behind.

Your double standards are so hilarious it's kind of pathetic.

Mediocrity based on one single.series when Gill has been medicore for so long in tests while Jaiswal shone.

Mediocrity only based on tests while you don't protest the extremely medicore T20 batsman Gill being in Asia cup.

It's not about talent or mediocrity, it's just about your biasness and hypocrisy.

That’s been the case in india here people support others on their religion, region, caste ,language and for what not except on humanity and being fair that’s why it’s forever developing country and will remain everyone busy looting the country. 95% subcontinent peoples mindset are that type
