He was fortunate enough to play during a time when Pakistan had all-rounders like Afridi and Razzaq. That way, they could pick up the slack when he was getting phainty and save him from bowling his full 10 overs

Sami was decent in ODIs. He got thrashed in tests though.

Isn't shocking at all. While Wahab is Pakistan's best test pacer he is also their worst ODI bowler at the moment. Can't expect much from someone who bowls no-balls at an astonishing regularity after years in International as well as domestic cricket.

Needs to focus very much on fitness. I can see him become a very good bowler if he improves his diet and starts spending more time in the gym. Looks like an absolute stick at the moment. As if he's malnourished. You don't see such skinny people in international cricket.

He was extremely poor today but you can't discount the fact that he has been excellent in this series. 12 wickets in 5 games at an average of 25 is very good. He was even the leading wicket-taker in the series.

If he is groomed properly and can bring a bit more discipline to both his bowling and fielding, he has a bright future for Pakistan. I just sincerely hope he isn't another Bilawal Bhatti.
