Good speeds and intent - the formula for success in South Africa if some experts are to be believed.

Is Hasan Ali coming to his own now for tour of South Africa?

Will be a watershed tour for him.

His speed and skiddy bounce is becoming more and more consistent as he is bowling long spells in the desert heat.

That was the problem in England as he became lethargic and prone to being carted around after a great first innings spell.

Test cricket seems to have given him his mojo back. Whatever I have seen of him during the NZ series, has really impressed,

I hope Sarfraz learns how to act with quick bowlers so they fulfill their potential.

Much improved in this test series. Expect him to do well in South Africa.

Looks much better this series. He seems to be more focused and hungry to take wickets. The SAF tour will be big for him.

Been doing great in tests so far. I am interested to see him with white ball, if he can do the same.

He's getting better. More pace, more reverse-swing, longer spells and a far more consistent line and length than what we saw in England and the recent ODIs. Hope he carries this form to South Africa

Has he grown six inches?

It’s South Africa. You need sandpaper to make the ball reverse.

Abbas and Afridi take the two berths for bowlers who can’t bat. If Hasan Ali wants to play he needs a lot of runs to replace Faheem Ashraf as the fourth seamer who can bat.

Pakistan will get green mambas like India got there will be no reverse but it will seam and swing through the test

Yes, exactly.

That means that like with India in South Africa ten months ago, 230 will be a winning score and 100-5 will be a common scoreline.

Yasir Shah won’t even get a bowl.

And the only thing more important than how many runs Faheem, Amir and Hasan score will be how long they can survive at the crease with Babar Azam or Haris Sohail.

I’ve been saying for 30 months since the England tour: Hasan Ali needs to work like a madman on improving his batting. And I don’t mean slogging.
