Hassan Azad: Karachi-born batsman playing for Leicestershire

He is having a real breakthrough season this year in county cricket.

Left handed opening batsman and is the 2nd player to hit 1k runs after Labuschagne this season. Been a difficult year for batsman in county cricket but he is standing out.

Does anyone have more info on him? Is he eligible to play for England or is he one of our own? As we know England are desperate for batsman and he may opt for the more lucrative England option.

“I do have hopes of playing international cricket,” Azad, who is England-qualified, says. “A year and a half ago, I had no hopes of playing professional cricket so I think I’m quite happy with seeing how things turn out. I’ve done most of my learning in England and I feel quite satisfied playing cricket here.”

seen him bat looks like a test bat nothing more which is good for England and they need a test opener as they got quite a few odi's ones. Though he does look solid got excellent temperament and someone who puts value on his wicket and loves to bat for long period of time.
