Bhai going to Vegas![]()
Sure, some people travel the world alone. Always better to have someone with you but if you have a few days spare and nobody is free, go for it!
Where are you thinking of going?

just came back from budapest hungary all by myself during xmas holiday however what is the main purpose of your question?
Traveled to almost half the planet alone (or sometimes with a couple of friends) in my youth. (Staff tickets helped a lot) Nothing opens ones eyes and mind when experiencing other people and their customs, history and culture. I would advice to do as much traveling as possible while young and/or single as it gets harder later on.
How hard is it to travel alone? Like are you more likely to be mugged/kidnapped?
Backpacked through Europe alone during the summer between year 1 and year 2 of my MBA. One of the best travel experiences I gotta say. I stayed in hostels, bought one of those Euro Rail passes (great bang for the buck). When we travel alone we are forced to interact with outsiders all the time in social contexts and this helps us interact with people of so many diverse backgrounds and learn more.
I would recommend experiencing traveling alone in a foreign land at least once.
Inter railing?
My friends and I did that when we were 18. It was a great experience.
Yep, Inter-rail. Those unlimited (within a month) train passes were only available for non-EU residents as a tourism promo from what I recall.

Travelling around the world sounds great. However, it's not for everybody. The main object is managing and mantaining finances which is not possible without having a proper job and a steady source of income. it's not that easy to just up and leave to see the planet when there are other responsibilities.
I have only just been able to start fulfilling my dream of seeing the world at the age of 28 but it's possible due to having a job that gives me the flexibility to work from home.
