Have you ever volunteered for an organization?

I have volunteered a few times.

In order to graduate from high school in Canada, a student must volunteer for a minimum of 40 hours. It is a requirement for graduation. To fulfill that requirement, I volunteered for Beach Vollyball Canada. I was a crew member.

Other than that, I was a volunteer clerk for a charity. I also volunteered for businesses run by my 2 friends.

What about you? Have you volunteered before or are you currently volunteering?

I volunteered for a chemist for 6 months. The owner was one of those Ugandan Asians with ties to Gujarat.

Learned a lot from him.

I personally think it should be mandatory for students to do a week minimum in a customer facing role. That would correct a lot of peoples' attitudes to those who work in retail !

Yes. I like the idea of making students volunteer. It can teach them responsibilities and give them a taste of real job.
