These games aren't half bad, you just need to add context to them.

Hong Kong vs Nepal Match Thread

Match starts in about 30 mins. Stadium seems quite empty and I hope it fills up a bit later.

A lot of Nepalese study in University of Science and Technology Chittagong [USTC]. Nepal should have some solid support in matches played in Chittagong.

Will always back a team with natives instead of migrants. Huge Nepali contingent in the stadium to watch the match. Awesome to see. Hope Nepal can be an associate powerhouse like Ireland soon.

supporting nepal , don't want bunch of expats to go through. Do these guys even hold hong kong citizenship or what?

A 42 year old making his debut...

Debut only in T20I. Apparently he was the former captain!

Tanwir, Haseeb, Najeeb, Nadeem -- All Pakistani attack this!

Nadeem ahmed was in same primary school as me
1 year junior and in senior i played against him once and got bowled :(

Nepal look a good team with all home grown players , lot of nepalis too in crowd

So sad to see Kenya not qualifying. A few years ago they were the best Associate team hands down.

people who are say stuffs about Expats need to know that these expats are born there or have been there since childhood and have families settled there for generations studied and played all their cricket in HK

Irfan Ahmed:

Named as Hong Kong's cricketer of the year in 2008-09, the Pakistan-born right-hander is an exciting talent. He scored 293 runs at the 2010 Under-19 World Cup Qualifiers and was appointed vice-captain for the main event. He is also a handy bowler and has former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik among his victims. He also won the Ben Hollioake Trophy for the leading player at the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes in 2009

Surprised to see Pakistan struggling against Nepal of all teams.

Wait what?

Honk Kong wanna be team, 7 Pakistani's and rest also from outside, Nepal all they way atleast they have big support back in Nepal and are die hard cricketers.

and not wannabe's like Netherlands/Honkong/Uae

FYI these players trained in 3rd class facilities even in HK and they devote their own money and time for cricket unlike some of the more developed countries where there is a proper system is in placed
even the government doesn't really care about Cricket in hk

9 Pakistanis in the playing squad to be precise.:misbah_old

Irfan Ahmed is an Impressive All-rounder, could even have played for Pakistan if he had stayed in Pakistan :P

first qualify to main round than talk even being a test nation and host still your team had to qualify to play t20 main rounds

Wow bro calm down

I was just messing around. 7 out of 11 players are Pakistanis LOL

Pretty decent crowd for this low profile match. Would be great if at least for these matches, crowd is like that or even more.

Great to see plenty of Nepalese in Bangladesh. Must be a historic moment for them.

Varun aaron 149k . Faster than any Pakistani in current team. :waqar

lol how many time did he clock 149k other than that domestic match and how many time is he being played by india? last i know is he is in and out.
and in that case we still have M sami and wahab riaz who can bowl faster than him and in case of M. Sami even after 12 years he can still touch 150

He has played 7 odi games for india. Every time has bowled 145 plus at the highest pace of 150k. Yadav has bowled 152k. Faster than any current Pakistani bowler. Sami is a joke. lol.
