A non starter, if there ever was one. Anything so big at 40,000 feet will be a sitting duck for anti-aircraft missiles. And given its size, it will be visible from miles away, taking any kind of stealth out of the equation.

Large aircraft carriers, either at sea or in the air, are an outdated military doctrine. The future of warfare is going to be either electronic, or based on unmanned vehicles and stealth.

China is still behind US in terms of tech. What China has advantage is that CCP can implement anything without fear of rejection from its citizens. China is struggling with a lot of problems including economy, population and falling birth rates.

What China has, US already has. They just do not unleash it on its citizens.
