How did the PCB agree to this series without the team playing atleast 2 warm up games? An Australian or South African tour is tough as it is even with 3-4 warm up games and here our team turned up with none. Was it any surprise to see the likes of Kamran Ghulam, Agha Salman, Abdullah Shafiq and co struggling to cope with the bounce?

Even the bowlers need a few games to figure out the right length on these wickets. This criminal neglect and lack of care by the PCB seriously bothers me, who makes these decisions?

Well it’s definitely a good point. The team looked completely rusty. The outcome may not be different but there is no reason why some of these players who were not playing tests couldn’t have come sooner and played a little more. I think by the time they board the plane to Zimbabwe they might have acclimatised

I raised this issue before the tour. No body apparently gives an F about warm ups unless you're touring for red ball in Australia.

Ironically also Pakistan picked up players in their squad that are suited for Pakistani sub continent conditions than Australian. I'm glad at least they spared Saud

Heck, we (India) are set to play a 5-test tour in Australia without warm-up games.

Rohit has just culled the only one scheduled. And done a Virat and run away from the first test.

So one minute naughty PCB, the next minute, how dare the foreign white gora scum hold such a prestige organisation to ransom.

Make up your mind bro.

Thats how modern game is now, with such tight schedules due to T20 leagues that warm up games have now taken a back seat. I remember England series in the 90s when teams used to play 3-4 warm up games before a test series .

Bro tbh with you pak actually competed with full strength australian team in their home without fakhar and imam.

That's the reality of modern cricket. And it's the same for every other team. It's is not the 1970's anymore where teams play more practice matches than international matches on a given tour. The question people should be asking is why hasn't Pakistan played a single ODI in one year? What kind of madman came up with this schedule?

I'm sure in 1992 Pakistan played more warm up and tour matches against English counties than they did tests and one days against England.

Cricket has changed a lot since those days.

That's also naqvi's fault no warm up have been arranged for India

They were well up for it, there was a bonus for winning a certain number of tour games.

But that was also a different era. There used to be a sizeable crowd just for the tour matches. Nowadays they have to fake the crowd reactions for babar.

Both are part of BGT series squad. FYI

They are actually two separate teams. India A functions similarly to Pakistan Shaheens, for up-and-coming players who may eventually join the main squad.

Also, that’s not a warm-up match in the picture it’s from a training session.

Nah different team are playing .ind- NZ match finished early so they are free now

The main purpose of sending them ahead of BGT is obvious, why you guys denying the obvious. They are there to acclimatize and prepare themselves for BGT

India A is essentially the same team that played in the Asia Cup Emerging tournament. It’s a separate squad from their main team, so they’re two entirely different teams.

It’s similar to how we have Pakistan Shaheens, captained bby Muhammed Haris, totally seprete team from the main Pakistan squad, which is captained by Rizwan.

they have warmed up after playing 1st ODI now lets see what significant they will achieve in the next game lol
