What's new

How does Mushfiqur Rahim compare with other Wicket Keeper batsmen?

I find it hilarious, that every time they win, they celebrate like the won the world cup. They are no longer new minnows. Been a test nation for 20 years now, act like one.

What is this :srt

Bangladesh will probably declare this day as national holiday :))

It is really surprising that Bangladesh have not won much with quality players like Shakib, Tamim, Mushfiq, and Mustafiz.

1) BD never chased 170+

2) BD never scored 200

3) BD lost 13 of their last 14 matches

4) Mushy was limping

5) He saw the match till the end.

Wow that is some achievement, well done. Always been a fan of choto, feel he has underachieved in his career.

What did I just see :danish :danish :danish

My eyes are bleeding

Its a bit confusing for me. The expressions on his face are so intense like he is going to do something really manly like ripping apart a lion's limb with his bare hands. However, he proceeds to do the girly boooty shake and the naagin naach. :danish

Normally we dont celebrate madly anymore

But T20Is is where we were struggling badly and we barely can chase well and today we chased down 210+ which is a massive psychological boost.

Later on you won't see similar celebrations unless we win trophies or qualifiers

Unless BD go on and win few more matches especially next few games, this win will be considered fluke and a statistical anomaly.

:)) :))

Yeah he looked really intense, but then the celebration....

Looking at his conscious attempt to steal a single rather than go for a glory shot tells me he has learnt his lesson after his premature celebration against India.

Sarfaraz or Dhoni have never played such an inns in T20Is and probably never will, absolutely astonishing :19:

Both Dhoni and Mushfiq are equally bad at T20Is.

Dhoni is a perennial under achiever in this format. Mushy too an excellent batsman in BPL but T20 stats are pretty poor except his last 4 innings.

A national embarrassment. First he embarrassed us when he cried like a lil baby in front of the whole world after losing the final against Pakistan, then he again embarrassed us with his premature celebration against India and now this filmy cobra dance.

I mean, come on man, u've just helped ur team to win a pointless t20 match against a borderline minnow team like srilanka. Why r u acting as if u have win the WC?

Has been playing since forever and is still only 30. He's literally learned the art of batting by playing International Cricket as much as possible. Good batsman and it was a half decent knock but doesn't deserve the hype its getting. Even Anwar Ali can smash these Lankans (who lost to Zimbabwe) on flat tracks like these.

Bangladeshi fans need to come out of their bubble. Need to mature up a little. Every little win is not like you've beaten Australia in the World Cup final. You just lost to Zimbabwe at home a few months ago. Hold your horses, ya chump!

LOL. Dhoni is an excellent t20 player and played a significant role for team India to win their first ever t20 wc in 2007.

Pls stop. Don't bring Dhoni here. Dhoni is one of the highest paid cricketers in IPL- a tournament where mushy can only dream of getting picked up the franchisees.

As far as t20 is concerned, the gulf in quality between these two is so large that it's pointless to even talk about it. :))

Dhoni has 2 50s in like 90 matches with a SR of about 125, underachieving is an understatement :D

Dhoni has fewer 50s in T20 than Mushy.

Dhoni hasn't found his touch for some reason

Dhoni usually spends time before he explodes. Can't afford that in T20. When he was new to international he could do that. Since he became captain he became a percentage cricketer. His first instinct in the first we overs would always be conserving his wicket somehow. Even in IPL he started firing only after few years.

Dhoni was one of the major reason why India struggled in T20Is between 09-2012. Since kohli, dhawan and Rohit became regulars Dhoni barely had to do much tbh.

The Dhoni in the mid naughties was a player worth watching. Wished he continued to play in the same fashion.

He cannot change his nature at this age. Even in 19th over you can see him pushing the ball for singles.

LOL..he felt he buried the WC T20 vs India innings with this one. Hence the anger. Great innings though. But the biggest surprise for me was Litton. Didn't know that dude could play those strokes.

Buddy, don't get fooled by this one fluke innings of liton das. He's a mediocre batsman who has no off side game.

It was Sri-Lanka's rubbish bowling that allowed liton to play his natural game since they constantly kept bowling on his pads. Had they bowled on lion's off stump or outside off stump he wouldn't have managed to score anywhere close to the number of runs he scored yesterday.

He's a one trick pony with no feet movement. Nothing more than that.

Must confess that I gave up the chance to watch an exciting chace when I checked the score at inning break and judged the match over. Highlights probably don't do it justice.

The comments about Mushfiqur's nagin dance are so adorable.hi hi hi.....

Fantastic innings.. the tournament has gotten exciting

SLC should thank BD team specially to Mushfiqur's weired celebration for bringing life to Nidahas Trophy.

I've subscribed to DSport, could not watch single match full including India ones till now.

After this BD performance, looking forward to catch more action in reminder of this tri-series :19:
